He's in my child's bed now and receiving petsHopefully it won't take him too long to come round and yes, dreamies are the answer.
Not totally true for all cats. I've never tried his backside, and nor do I want to, but I'm allowed, even encouraged to stroke everywhere else on mine, even his paws.

My Jakey is all the places, all the time, don't go out and leave me alone, hold my paw now, humanyes, this one is more accurate
and depends on the circumstances, what mood they are in, and who's doing the petting
Don't beat yourself up too much! He'll soon forgive you, they never hold grudges for long. Once, Lilith jumped onto my lap when I was sitting with my legs stretched out, and she landed on all fours on my thigh, sinking her claws right in. I yelled in pain and really scared her, which I felt bad about. But it was all forgotten about the next day.One or both of mine killed a wood pigeon recently and this morning Ryu tried to bring the headless corpse into the house, twice. I freaked out and shouted, both times, and now he's run off and is acting like a street cat who's never known a kind human touch I feel terrible. He's such a nervous cat and it's taken ages to build up trust. I got him to eat some Dreamies off the back step while watching me on short legs, so hopefully he's not going to leave home altogether :/
So funny and cute in that one! She looks like she's hurriedly stashing something down the back of the sofa then giving it "not me guv" as someone walks in.
Just a short kip then.Bloom’s brother Napoleon has been in this spot in my front garden for about six hours so far.

Do you make your cat(s) get off the bed so you can make it? Or do you attempt to make the bed around the cat(s), or just leave the bed as it is and hope you can make it later?
Back when I lived with multiple cats and multiple people I’d always make them get off the bed. Partly because there were plenty of other beds in the house where they could settle. * These days I seem to be far more tolerant and Cat gets priority over my preference to make the bed. And he’s too chonky for me to easily manoeuvre him by shifting the sheets and blankets under him. I’ve had cats who would scram in furious annoyance as soon as their peace was threatened, but this fella is so laid back, even when I’m disturbing him with my attempts to pull things into place, he just lays there dozing.
* One of them discovered he could get into a closed bedroom by climbing on the shed, then the lean to, then making the precipitous jump to the open window. The window was always open, it had those locks on that mean it can’t be opened further, which also meant he had to squinch through the gap to get in. He knew the lodger’s routine and the sound of his arrival, so he’d always vacate the room before Lodger opened the door. He’d been doing this for maybe a whole year before his private retreat was discovered.
I’ve been waiting to make the bed all day.
