Chickpea, I'm saying that capitalism is vicious, has created an equally vicious religion-based ideology to compete with capitalism's consequences, and innocent Americans have been viciously murdered in an attack on major capitalist institutions.
 
i reckon you won't see bush declaring war on any country because it's probably a sub-national terrorist group behind this. star wars ain't much use against this kind of tactic. but expect to see things like the missile attacks on the khartoum chemicals factory and maybe an incursion into afghanistan to get osama bin laden. but unlikely that will include ground troops on any scale unless a clearer link to laden can be proven and his whereabouts guaranteed.

but all this presupposes it was him, which it may not have been. the us may choose to go after him if they can't find any other culprit any way.

peace? i think more western cities will become like London when the real IRA strikes. but it's hard to go to war against someone without territory...

Minkton, definitely unacceptable, but the irony of this attack stands out. Capitalist America has always been obsessed with maximum profit from the greatest efficiency, and here you have human "martyrs" as an extremely efficient product. Just one or two can hijack a plane, and take out thousands of people and prestigious institutions. They certainly got the biggest bang for their bucks.
 
It seem's very strange how there has been a news black-out regarding the other definate plane missing, and the plane that ctashed in Philly. No one is even talking about it. Just statements something has happened. As it was bound for Washington I would guse they must have had to shoot it down.?????.
Has any-one heard any more on this. It is strange no news ???
 
Not only that ZeeDoodles. I heard unconfirmed reports of a plane hitting a building in Chicago about 2 hours ago. Then nothing. Anything any more on that?
 
i don't have a tv and haven't ben listening to the radio today, until about five, when all i caught was the fat shit moyles talking about major tragedies. since then we've been in a state of shock. what the fuck? i've got a friend who works in ny and i'm scared to call her. i was looking at the news feeds and nearly crying. so i came here, just like everyone seems to have done. there's too much that isn't being told here, they are keeping stuff back i'm sure. fuck, i don't want a war. thoughts to cat and any others in the area. i don't know what to add. fuck.
 
Something else has happenend but for some reason they have hushed it up. IMO they must have found the missing planes still outstanding and action taken. This is so terriable a thing to happen. I just can't contemplate the number of innocent familys who have suffered. And still there must be more. For instance when the towers fell, what happened ubderground in the Subway's.
etc............we won't understand the effects of this for days. And then there is the question of what is going to be the cost of reprisal. Both to susspected attackers and there familys..And the cost to the world with countries taking isolationist measures to protect themselves.
 
According to Channel 4 News, there's a suggestion the pilot of the unmentioned jet plane that crashed before hitting a target may have deliberately sent it into the ground to stop the terrorists succeeding.

I was at the DSEI action when I heard the news...and was with my best friend, whose aunt happens to work in the WTC. I had to take him home, whilst he didn't know what the fuck was going on....horrible hours, but luckily he just phoned with good news; she was IN the building when the first plane hit, but managed to peg it...she works on one of the lowest levels.

My godfather also lives in Manhattan...and I was there just a few weeks ago. This is fucked up....and any creed that can ignore human life like this is no creed for me. For once I almost entirely agree with Blair...although I am scared that he will use this as an excuse to crack down on any attempt at protest. We will see. For now I'm just hoping.

the blood is on the hands of bush and the west! the u.s and as it's huge influence over tyrants and 'friendly dictatorships' has lead to the desperate to act in such a way. i'm amazed something on this scale hasn't happend before. the pentagon is an obvious target. from their, the states controls all of it's forces all over the world. the CIA trains police and armies all over the world to torture and fight, in the name of progress and capital. the victims, suprisingly - the poor, have little option but to behave like this. fuck america!

At least some of the blame must be attached to the terrorists, Snooch. I loath the American government but I won't even pretend that they, solely were responsible. Now is not the time for politicking either.

Bin laden said about three weeks ago that he was going to do summat like this, and gave quite detailed description apparantly.of course this is based on hearsay.+ also the US are keen to assign blame quickly to an outsider. Didnt find out about this til i left school @ 4.00. we thought perhaps they shud hav sed summat but maybe that would just hav spread panic.it made me cry.this is terribl, apparantly dead are likely to be in tens of thousands.at 9.00 us time there were about 80,000 peope in the towers. :(
 
Snooch. These are innocent people who have suffered. People like my family and my friends. I diss-like America as much as anyone but I dislike the political regime and the we are the world ruler attitude. This action today has only served to strengthen this. The only people who have suffered have been the innocent familys. Some of these people such as D post here. And all my thougths are with them. Let's leave the dancing in the street's anti American talk to the people in the Middle East who have either lost family's themselves or been brought up under such properganda that they believe all Americans are the devil. They are not it is only the twats in power. And they suffer least.

I totaly agree with you there, they will use this as an excuse to bring in all sorts of crazy laws. That is why it is so sad we have all lost. It is terrorism gone to far. That kinda sounds weird but you know what i mean.
 
Yes, as a simple display of humanity, if nothing else, can we please have an amnesty on these ridiculous 'glad the evil capitalists are dead ha ha' style posts? Most of the people in the WTC were probably just there to do some crappy office job, not to roll around naked in piles of cash laughing at 'the workers'. Let's have a bit of perspective on this, eh? :rolleyes:
