goverment figures no doubt , ime very sceptical of anything the goverment churns out .
Various opinion polls, over two decades, using the recognised sampling methods. Look them up if you like.

"Government figures" is a meaningless statement in this context, as I'm sure you know. The government does not "churn out" opinion polls on constitutional change, or on anything else. There is a range of companies who do that.

i agree but hand in glove are they not ?

That wasn't 24 hours. :hmm:

Cameron's up here just now, mooching.

Taking the fight to Salmond no doubt. This is a fight I want to see.

Didn't the Tories say more or less the same thing pre-79?
Yes, they did.

I was talking to an acquaintance about Cameron's offer this morning. (We were in a coffee shop, it was on the front of her paper). She said she'd not made up her mind about whether to vote for independence until now, but Cameron's "offer" had convinced her she had to vote yes.

All I can say is keep talking, Dave.

roll on english independence from scotland , all you get is winge winge winge coming from north of hadrians wall , give em the independence they want and have done with , danny will now throw statistics at me now saying majority dont want .

at least the scots have been asked what they want , being english we just have to tow what ever line is thrown at us , and as there are no more rebels in england its excepted .

You were talking about English independence. (post 162). You do have a say in that. If you want England to break away from the Union, campaign for it.
well ime actually a unionist but it would be nice as an emglishman in england to be asked , like the scots are being asked dont you agree ?

What do you want to be asked? Whether England should break away from the Union?
i was giving my opinion on fairness , why the scots and now the welsh , being asked a question which is , do you want independence from the union ? should not the english get the same respect concerning their views ?

Bit vague, just going "stay or go". Do you think it will be that simple in reality?

im pretty sure it will be "do you want scottish independence" and not what your suggesting. Its not a complicated question to put , so theres no reason to complicate it in my view .

if scotland vote to leave the union , and be an indipendent nation will they kick the queen out of ballmoral , and who do the scottish regiments swear allegiance to alex samond ?

Well, if the SNP are the party negotiating the settlement, they tell us they'll keep the Queen. This is a matter of public record.

I think I've said several times that the English can be asked about English secession. I don't expect to be asked about English secession. Clear enough?
