No campaign's new ad convinces some to vote yes
Better Together's short film to appeal to undecided female voters instead pushes some to support independence

Sandra Grieve, former convener of the Scottish Liberal Democrats, told the Guardian that the advert had finally convinced her to vote yes.

"It was the straw that broke the camel's back. I was a very clear no," said Grieve, who was a member of the Scottish Constitutional Convention which developed the framework for devolution, "but I've been increasingly uncomfortable with what I experience as a condescending smugness from Better Together."

Pretty terrible to be totally honest. My mother has just watched it and has done a complete 180 declaring she is a Yes now, after being a solid No vote for 2 years. I think the Better Together marketing department should have a re-think.

On the 30th of August we want to turn Glasgow City Centre into a hub of information, stalls, outreach and engagement for independence.

We want to build a huge atmosphere in the city, register people to vote, debate and discuss with the thousands of shoppers and passers by and mobilise a big Yes victory in the city.

The plan:

Meet 12 noon at the top of Buchanan Street by the steps. After a short photo shoot we will divide into groups to join Gazebos with speaker systems on:

- Argyle St

- Sauchiehall St

- Buchanan St.

These Gazebos will have thousands of leaflets, posters and registration forms. Each will have a speaker system to promote the benefits of Independence and Another Scotland is Possible banners.

We will be doing MUCH more to raise awareness in the city that day, stay tuned and watch for updates.

In the meantime, invite your friends and save the date!

So this is how I spent some of my afternoon today. Gutted we missed Jim Murphy, who was in town earlier today!

So, where's Miliband? Going into the next election as the man who saved the Union would be a big boost.

Who do I petition to have Cumbria and North Lancashire declared part of Scotland? Come on, you burned Lancaster to the ground twice in the Middle Ages, the least you can do is take us with you now!
To be fair, Cromwell did the same thing to most of the Lothians a couple of hundred years later. I think we're quits. Although we'd be happy to annexe you, if you like :)

For, and to who? It's utterly irrelevant to his support - except maybe in Scotland where it may actually damage it it.

Cameron knows he will get glowing coverage in the papers if he does a visit. Will do very well with his base down south, not sure it will do well in Scotland. He certainly won't be defending the Conservatives record in government.

fuck the papers, if the man who can't say 'jobs' without putting three o's in it visits scotland it'll be a further reminder of why nobody wants to be ruled by a cabal of PPE twats who haven't done a days proper graft in thier entire lives
