What's in your glass?

I have quite a stash of wine to drink up over the next couple of years - and it saves me carting two bottles of Bishop's digit back from Aldi each week ...
It'll take a bit of getting used to after a year of beer - I wonder if it's better for gout ?
At the moment I don't mind getting a little tiddly but hopefully it won't become to much of a habit.
This is one of my younger bottles - super smooth and fruity - and in a glass for once instead of straight out of the bottle ...

Raspberry Pi(e)
Raspberry Oat Milshake Pale Ale. From York. Came as part of my Beer52 shipment.

Okay, wouldn't be my first or even second, choice.

Another delightful vintage screwcap that needed drinking up.
13 years old and very fruity and smooth, but with a characterful tannic finish.
Dark stone fruit ...
I don't feel bad at the moment for wanting to be a bit tipsy as I process a rather large dollop of life - but I will need to be wary - of gout if nothing else...
If I make it to France I am going to have to make sure I pace myself ...

Today's bottle hails from the Languedoc-Roussillon region of Southern France, has a cork and is a mere ten years old .. and unlike some St Emilion that I previously kept a bit too long, this has either retained or acquired the complex "cellar mould" flavour that slightly dominates the tannin and acidity - very well-rounded...
It works very well with the 3 day old veggie and bean stew that was heavy on umami thanks to miso, kelp and dried shiitake mushrooms.
