What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Grilled cheese with double gloucester and chives, on 5-seed wholemeal bread. Fried in loads of butter. Served with a huge bowl of tomato bisque and a pint of Belgian ale.

...and a strawberry shake for dessert

We're going for a picnic in the park with my daughter's friends and their mums which will probably involve a fair bit of stodge :D and then she's going to stay the night at my bezzer's (son's at his dad's) so I'm making up for it (and for last night's chinese) by having a nice easy coconut dhal (from freezer stocks) with toasted wholemeal pitta for dinner

Riiiiiiight...hoping this'll work :hmm: BERLIN DINNER

:D

(I do kind of wish I'd taken one before pulling the bulk of the fat off the meat...BEIGE dinner, lol)

salmon. Not really looking forward to it. I feel stressed :-( Not good for Friday night.

Did you have a lesson today? Is that why you were stressed? Salmon is nice...haven't eaten it for ages. Don't see it much here.

I've got all the ingredients for Thai chicken curry, so following a manicure and pedicure, I will make it.

no, stress was for other reasons (see housing thread!) :(
Salmon was really nice. It came with some garlic and herb butter so was really moist  Then I had erm...half a bottle of wine to help with the stress, so that was quite nice.

Frankfurters and mustard. Because I only got up just after 2pm today, I had breakfast of crisps and coffee, and have moved straight onto tea now - I need compress the time between meals to make sure I get through them all before midnight. :D

I think so. Why the surprise?

Yeah it is, I googled it. I love it. Tasty and colourful, what's not to like? It's not very common, never seen it in a supermarket.

The surprise was because it is not very common and I have never seen it in a super market :p

No, sorry, just never heard of it before.

Creamy veg and chicken korma (currently in the slow cooker), rice, poppadoms and then maybe a date and apple flapjack square (currently in the oven)

DUnno, have been feeling off colour for a few weeks now and just cannot be arsed to cook anything.
I bought the ingredients for veggie lentil moussaka on Tuesday and have still not done it.
Tomorrow tomorrow

Dunno. Had lunch very late (4pm) as we went to the forest with the dogs then popped in the pub for sandwiches and shared a bowl of chips.

Not mad hungry now so probably pitta and dips or Camembert and warm bread. Might be a bit late for loads of cheese though.

He's having pasta and sauce.

One can of Aldi veg stew, one can of veg hotpot, tahini and a locally produced wholemeal pita bread.
Tasty and filling - but sadly far too much salt ...

Mmmmm, nachos and tequila! : )

We were meant to be having the tramps buffet rib of beef I bought but we still haven't had the mushroom risotto I was going to make Friday so that. Probably with some grilled chicken too.

I've left the beef in the freezer for next weekend.
It's my birthday Sunday which is the day before sodding payday so we'll have that.

I've got a sainsburys choc brownie pudding in the freezer so we might have that too but I keep forgetting.

Homemade bean/veggie burgers for tea tonight (hopefully, unless I fuck them up, in which case it'll be general veggie/bean mush scraped out of the oven), served with salad, steamed broccoli and garlic, and brown rice.

Made a gorgeous pasta thing last night - mascarpone, garlic, spinach, and parmesan sauce, with spiralli.

Tonight's tea will be a massive pot of Tuscan bean and tomato soup, with the nicest bread I can find in the co op. Then cake
