What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Pie is in the oven. Bit late but badgers isn't home yet anyway.

Cooked down some onion, then loads of chopped chestnut mushrooms.
Added flour for thickening.
Warmed milk.
Chicken stock saved form the roast last night.
Stirred til thick.
Salt, pepper, mustard powder and nutmeg (I dropped the whole nutmeg in the mix and couldn't find it so that will be a nice surprise for someone :D ).
Fresh tarragon.
Cooked carrot and cabbage from last night.
Shredded chicken.
In pie dish with puff pastry lid and in oven.
Will see how it comes out.

Not too bad.
Not as golden as I would have liked but stuff leaked out the side and was burning on the bottom of the oven.
The whole room is full of smoke

Nice pie :)

Tonight we have some pulled pork to use up. What should I do with it? Apart from cram it directly into my mouth, that is.

I have: a red pepper, onions, eggs, a tin of rataouille, a tin of tomatoes, noodles, rice, all the usual household staples and the ability to go to the shop. What shall I have?

I'm still munching my way through the Chinese I ordered last night. : D

So that for lunch and mushroom risotto for dinner. I might buy a chicken breast and grill that to go with it.

My husband won't be home from Sheffield til after ten so tomato soup and toast for him.

We went to a Korean place and had tteokbeoki, bibimbap, kimchi pancakes and tuna kimbap. Then we went for more Hong Kong mango dessert and I had a coconut milk, azuki bean and mango icey drink thing.

Hmmm....either veggie saussie butties with cheese slices on them, or penne in LG tom and basil sauce, with black olives and parmesan

I'm starving so the laziest possible food. Vermicelli noodles - chucked in boiling water, taken straight off the heat and left to sit for 4 minutes, drain, and then toss with chilli oil and toasted sesame oil. Homemade supernoodles! :D

Fasting day today so I will be having a dry fried salmon fillet with lettuce (dressing of just lemon juice salt and pepper) and then staring at left over pie in the fridge :(

STEAK for dinner tonight  - with some fat chips, portobello shroom, tomato, salad.

And for pudding - trifle, made by my mum, which is the undisputed world heavyweight champion of trifles :)

It's going to be a fucking excellent dinner, can't wait!

First post-festy cooking. I'm doing a big veggie chili to get back all my nutrients. To include tomatoes, spinach chili, garlic, red and yellow peppers, kidney beans, mushrooms and quorn mince. Cooked in olive oil, basil, oregano and stock. Served with roasted sweet potatoes as one side and rice/lentils as one other side.

Oh and a giant posh olive ciabatta bread thing as another side.

I'm fucking famished, wonder why?

Fast day for me too day kittyP
I had a prawn tom yum thingy from Sainsburys.
Not too bad at all, at least it had plenty of oomph.

I'm now having a cup of decaf black coffee - woo, go me
