What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Potatoes, salad and....something...not sure what I've got. Mince. I've got mince :hmm: And hash browns...and I've got chicken strips....and a couple of seeded buns...

OH OH. I can see where this is headed :) That's right. Mince salad with mash and hash browns! Just kidding. Chicken burgers with hash browns and I'm gonna try the slice of beetroot and fried onions in er curry powder :)

I had a right beefer in the co ops tramps buffet yesterday. 3 packs of turkey mince a quid each a small packet of birds eye chilli's 25p 2 packets of corn on cob 50p each. Just got em in time anawl coz the owd dears were loiterin an they usually clear the lot out. So i did a chilli con carne yesterday wiv turkey mince n chillies a got , an am gonna wrap em in corn tortillas wiv cheese on top then warm in oven.

Will be alfresco tonight I reckon... I have Jersey new potatoes & asparagus from Hereford plus other undecided stuff. I have corn on the cob so probably that too and a cold Peroni.

Lamb steaks and salad eaten outside in the evening sunshine. Bloody lovely. My sister brought me some ace olive oil back from her holiday in Greece so I dipped some good bread in that as a starter.

Chilli spuds, with steamed asparagus. Then a rhubarb, orange and apricot crumble - possibly with cream if I can be bothered to go to the shops this afternoon.

More information needed please thanks

Steamed spuds (any variety), and when they are done, empty the steaming pan of the water and let the spuds sit on the side. Fry some chilli and garlic in some olive oil (and anything else you fancy shoving in really), and when done, tip the spuds in and squish them with whatever you've got to hand - I use a masher, but wooden spoons work too. You can mash them to whatever consistency you want - I tend to do leave it lumpy rather than a proper mash.

Oh, and don't forget to tip in lashings of butter when squishing them. This bit is mandatory. Toasted sesame oil works really well too - on top of the butter of course!

I grow all my own produce of course, as one would expect of my username. ;)

Fucking hell - you're back!!! Hello :)

Well, after taking a spewy cat to the vets, we intend to chug back a couple of kronies. Then I'm gonna roll some chickpeas in seasoned (salt, pepper, chilli flakes, paprika) flour and fry them in garlicky olive oil. Shred some iceberg, fill pittas with chickpeas, salad, maybe a squeeze of lemon juice, and nom.
