Just a couple of things which weren't exactly ready meals on their own, but they were in packets.

Ooooo I really want that!!

I think I will do a quick fresh filled tortellini (again ) with pesto and cook up some mushrooms and onion that need using to stir in.
Cheese on top natch.

We had chippy tea tonight - cod, chips, mushy peas.
From the chippy that isn't the best but is a lot closer.

Tonight is takeaway night at Chez Chicken...so young chow chow mein for me, prawn with cashew nuts for her and jointly with prawn fried rice, prawn toasts, seaweed and salt and pepper squid.

Prawn, pea and asparagus risotto with baked salmon fillets.
A coffee bun for first pudding, maybe the rhubarb and custard we didn't eat yesterday for second pudding and definitely some more of the willies wonky Indonesian gold to finish.

It does. I've never had it myself. Some of the google images look nasty but I just watched this youtube video and it looks good, I'm a big fan of eggs and spices.

Damn it, this was good - an egg dish suitable for a Saturday night. i added a chopped chilli with the asparagus and finished with the parmesan rather than the chives. Served with roast kale and roast aubergine.

Picnicking has been agreed at somewhat late notice. Thanks to the veg box I have made

• coleslaw with kohl rabi, carrot and 'wet garlic'
• red rice salad with finely diced red peppers, red onion, carrot, chillis (orange and ginger dressing)
• rhubarb fool

eta just realised there's some chocolate and raspberry cake left over too
