What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Last night I did jerk chicken legs, with oven chips (cos we got back too late for me to be arsed faffing about with rice) and a big pile of tenderstem broc...and more sticky toffee pudding for afters, with clotted cream ice cream for them and squirty cream for me (no more ice cream  ).

Tonight we had a chicken/broc/asparagus/chinese leaf stir fry with a sauce that basically had all sorts slung in (hoisin/blackbean/soy/lime juice/ginger/garlic etc etc etc :D ) with rice...and there's the last of the sticky toffee pud with custard for pudding (although my daughter has decided that STP is TOO SWEET    so she will be having custard on it's own :p )...to go with a cup of tea for me.. :)

I made a curry with the entire contents of my kitchen cupboard, or so it seams.

Chicken, spinach, mushrooms, 3 types of bean, 2 types of lentil, tomatoes.... The surrounding area may need to be evacuated later this evening due to air quality concerns.

A chicken and mushroom saag dahl?

Tonight i'm having chilli & mint lamb kofta with noodles.

Just marinated a load of chicken wings in cajun seasoning for tomorrows tea.

Broccoli and blue cheese soup last night. It was pretty blah. Luckily I had filled up on cream crackers while waiting to eat.

Kedgeree tonight.

Veggie Lincolnshire saussies, mashed spuds, mixed veg (out of a bag cos I am totally fucked after the weekend) and gravy. Then the earliest night I can possibly achieve.

Baked sweet potato with something or another, probably some left over three bean curry from the freezer.

Pie, chips and mushy peas here.

I too am aiming for an early bedtime after getting 4 hours kip last night.

Last night I did a spicy fish stew (recipe from Trinidad, long live the internet!) with rice n peas, and there's some sauce and veg left in the pot so tonight I'll bung some more fish in it and have it again.

This sounds really nice...do you have the recipe you could point out?

Toast with olive oil and lettuce and green bean salad. I had a big meal at lunchtime plus I'm trying to be more healthy.

Butternut squash curry with creamed coconut, pilau rice and dhal. The dhal is not very nice but the rest is ok. I really need to follow recipes - if I wing it the results aren't that great with Indian food.

Thinly sliced chicken breast rubbed with home made piri piri rub, then cooked in oven for 40 mins.
With roasting tin chock full of red onion, white onion, red pepper, green pepper, large halved tomatoes, flat mushrooms, drizzled with chilli infused olive oil and roasted in oven alongside chicken.
Served with rice.
Yum!:)

it might be a take away yet... the mrs has had the oven on 160 instead of 180 for the last 30 minutes and wondered why the chicken wasn't cooking right

2 oatcakes and a bit of diet philadelphia  Mainly because I had a massive pub lunch with my Mum and my body can't cope with more than 1 big meal a day since I've been on a diet   :D
