What's for tea tonight? (#8)

No idea. I demanded (jokingly) my gf has to cook for me for a change tonight. Has to be something soft though as the poor lamb had a tooth out yesterday :)

She's a great cook, but says she feels intimidated cooking for me. Last time she did, I had to pretend to abuse her as her younger brother does (also jokingly). I think I said something along the lines of "Gorgeous lady in my life, would you please find the time to fix me a delicious meal as my energy has been sapped playing the drums for 6 hours. Thank you kindly, you fucking bitch" :D
 
last night i had a double decker and a twirl. Healthy stuff :rolleyes::( Today I'm determined to be healthy. In fact, so far today all I've had is porridge, an apple and some lentil soup. Dinner (unless i cave in before then) should be a veggie stir fry. Or a mushroom omlette. Or perhaps both, since they're both kind of healthy :hmm:
 
beef stew and dumplings with roast taties at the brave mr's request.

kids wont eat dumplings so yorkshire puddings for them x
 
Spaghetti puttanesca if I can be bothered to get on my bike and go to the shops and buy some anchovies and capers and olives.
If not, spaghetti with a very very simple tomato sauce.
 
I need to start cooking pasta again .. got some Lloyd Grossman sauces I need to eat up and it's been way too long since I last ate capers and pine nuts ..

It was going to be fried spud and the remainder of the frozen peas, but the latter had gone off, so it was fried spud, tomatoes, mushrooms and a couple of fried eggs.

Just as well I had a light lunch ...
 
Last night's healthy tofu stir fry ended up being fish, chips & mushy peas from the chip van.
Damn you chip van and your enticing smells :mad:

I took something out the freezer this morning that I suspect is sausage and bean casserole so we'll have that tonight. I'd like to have it with mash but I'll probably do pasta instead because the boy won't eat mash.

Marg. pizza (one of those nice big co op ones) that I'm gonna slather with chopped black olives, red pepper, onion, minced garlic, pesto, and some homegrown green sweet peppers :cool: Wiiiiith garrrrrlic bread and a salad. And still no wine.
 
Pommes dauphinoise with added celery, herbes de provence, and grated parmesan.
 
A sort of throw-it-together-and-make-it-up-as-you-go-along supper. Rice, cooked with cumin seeds, garlic and turmeric. In a frying pan, little bits of chopped bacon, a knob of butter, sliced mushrooms, red, green and yellow bell peppers, sweetcorn, chipotle chilli and a squooze of tomato purée. Mix together and shout "Boys! It's ready!". Job done.
