What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I just pour boiling water over it, stir and cover with a tea towel for 5 mins until the water has been absorbed. I never remember the proportions of couscous to water, just stick vaguely to the packet instructions or that in the recipe I'm following. I use standard couscous, didn't know there was more than one kind, it's all kind of instant isn't it, 'cos it's already cooked, I seem to remember reading somewhere.
I use plain and flavoured packet stuff. I never remember how much water either, and if away camping have nowt to measure it with, so I just make sure it's covered by about half a cm of water on the top and that seems to be the right amount

Sounds good, did you buy it? I had some splendid biscuit ice cream made by Morelli, west London, a while ago. :)

Yeah, it's Kellys ice cream. It was on special in waitrose a couple of weeks ago, it's lovely.

Dunno what to have tonight. It's pay day which would generally mean a treat but we've had loads of crap and takeaways over the last couple of weeks for various reasons.

There's nothing defrosted, very little veg or anything in the fridge and I don't think we've even got enough pasta for two. Grrr, I hate not knowing what to have.

i bought some frozen salmon burgers from Lidl. Not sure why. Am a little scared tbh! Oh well at least it's a change from the same old stuff i eat day in day out!

See if you can spot a theme developing with this Chinese order: chilli salt ribs, chicken with hot chilli garlic sauce, chicken hot chilli garlic chow mein, chili salt chips.

Ooo... Where you off to Ringo?
Today is Friday so fish for dinner. Either lightly dusted cod with new potatoe salad & spring onions, peas, sweetcorn etc
Or monkfish curry.

No eyed deer at the moment. Want to do a quesadilla but only thought of that this morning and it's too late to soak the kidney beans now. Fucked if I'm buying tinned when I've got a bagful of dried.

Hmmm. Perhaps pea and parmesan risotto.

Ooo... Where you off to Ringo?

Camping trip/mini-fest for 70 people in a field in the middle of Wales. Am convincing myself it's not really going to be cold and pissing down all Sunday, still, that's what pubs are for innit :)

I'm making a Balinese coconut curry for me and my boy with king prawns and seabass  which we'll have with rice and prob some choy sum :hmm: :D just cos it needs using.
Beans on toast for my daughter

Strawbs and greek yoghurt for pudding.

Reet - have decided. Sun's come right out here so no risotto. Will make cheese omelettes with mixed salad and couscous instead. And copious amounts of wine. Ahhhhhh

I want to be in a field with rum. : ( Got no festivals this year and not been brave enough to try camping with the dogs yet...

After that whinge, we're having pizza express americano pizza (from shop), rocket salad and garlic bread with shitloads of chilli oil I expect.

Not sure, got food delivery coming later (finally), a list of meals, but no idea what to go for.

I defrosted some bacon for brekkie, but lost my appetite and mojo.

Possibilities are endless ;) but on my list I have...

baked jerk chicken with corn on cob, baked chicken with butterbean mash or cabbage, veg stir fry, keema matar, mackerel and feta salad, fish with peas and carrots, ham omelette, steak and veggies.

Some things need defrosting, but I have time, I also have bacon :D

Trust me, all the clothes I can't do up are screaming "no more cake" :( :D I have some apples though.

Changed meal plans already too  found a couple of beef and black pudding burgers in the freezer, so they're defrosting. Fella can have chips, I'll have salad and coleslaw.

jerk chicken and corn for early tea tomorrow :)

Not quite a mojo, but a plan eh?
