Last night was the first nod to British pie week with an m & s roast chicken pie, ready made mash and spring greens and peas with trifle for pud.

Tonight I made fish pie and we'll finish the rest of the trifle too

Lettuce crumble sounds ace. However, I had a stir fry of vegetables and tofu, with some onion bhajis on the side because I couldn't get spring rolls

Prawn and chorizo in a spicy tomato sauce, curried radish (really!), rocket salad and a little bit of bread!

The littlun is in charge of food today, we've just had a rummage around Brixton market for ingredients.

Lunch: "I'm not cooking lunch. Take me to the caff."
She had mushroom omellete & chips, I had pork chops, mash, cabbage & gravy.

Tea: Macaroni cheese with a funny pasta we found like rigatone which has been cut into little hula hoop shapes. Jarlsberg and mushrooms in the bechemel sauce, layer of mozarella on top, then a second layer of breadcrumbs & parmesan on top of that. Sounds great.

Homemade mint ice cream for pud - we've just made that, looks incredible.

It was rather nice - could have taken a bit more spice actually but was an interesting change from having the radish raw in a salad.

Tonight is Steak pie, mash, pies, gravy and wine!

Oooh, that looks lovely. We had griddled bread with sliced portabella mushrooms and grilled goats cheese, with a few spuds roasted with rosemary, and salad. Followed by sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. *pop*

anyway, I didn't actually have the halloumi and mushroom dish...I was too hungover and went for a falafel and humus takeaway instead tasty though!
