What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Jacket potatoes with butter and cheese, red cabbage coleslaw, green beans, broccoli, some leftover honey/ginger/soy salmon fillet. Followed by dark chocolate digestives.

I declare 'use up the ends of things in the fridge' day a success

Hit the big time in the reduced section of Sainsburys tonight

Will be having scallops, black pudding, roast fennel and sauteed potatoes on a bed of Cavalo Nero fried up with some olive oil and garlic. Under £4 for the pair of us

I love a makhani (butter) chicken... you got a recipe for me to look at? ;)
Sorry Addy, this is one of the few readymade things I can safely eat. It's the Waitrose version, and AFAIK contains nothing which an Indian cook wouldn't be happy to use. BTW they also do a makhani chicken (with a slightly different recipe) which I can't have - how stupid is that?

Gutted!
I have a couple of butter chicken recipes, but I like to see common denominators in recipes then make my own take on it iyswim.

Dunno....not sure if I'm going to have to feed my daughter or not cos she's got a toothache so we're off to the dentists in an hour.....and if she has to have any work done (or more specifically, an injection) I know she'll be feeling a bit too anxious/clingy/freaked out :D afterwards to go and stay at her friend's as planned :hmm: ....would have made a *fishy thing* for me and my boy but might have to be soup now instead..... :hmm: ...I might get some Heinz tomato soup on the way back if needs be, tbf

I'm having wine and beer first either way. :-|

Chicken Sylheti and riiiiiice - maybe those tiny pakoras int fridge if they haven't gone off by now.

Wine, obv, and some lovely dark choccy with orange bits in it for afters

I think I'm going out again. I'm doing quite well at spending my money for the fortnight in 3 days. :hmm:

Last night I ended up with a byron burger - all well and good but I could've been eating anything as I'd already had seven vodkas and two jamesons and had most of a bottle of wine with the food. Very nice onion rings.

pizza hut apparently :hmm: Their unlimited salad option is appealing but not much else. Especially after having scoffed my usual stressed friday afternoon packet of biscuits
