What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Pork chops, potatoes and peas. Haven't had a pork chop for ages, am in two minds whether to griddle it or cook it in the oven.

Do both, quick one-two on a scorching hot griddle then wrap in foil with some marinade or summat, chuck in warm oven and leave for as long as needed.

Four types of cheese indeed. It'll taste exactly the same as if you'd used one. There's people starving in the world and you use four types of cheese in your macaroni cheese. It's unspeakable decadence.

is it fuck. i'm cooking for a bunch of people and want to make something special for people to enjoy. what's wrong with making nice food for people? and it won't taste the same, unless you have no tastebuds.

With two cheeses you can make a good combination, maybe with a little parmesan three would be good, but four sounds like you wouldn't be able to tell them apart. Have you tried it before OU? I'm intrigued.

it was nearly 5 cheeses actually. it's gonna be cheddar with talleggio and gruyere, which should be a nice combo. i was thinking of having some blue cheese (st augur) in the topping, but one guest doesn't like it, so it will be just parmesan on the top now.

I used 4 cheeses in the one I made but they were Parmesan, Taleggio, Mascarpone and Mozzerella so it was about the textures as well as flavour.
I think if I had left one out it would not have been as good.

Actually is was 5 coz there was not enough taleggio so I added a little Wensleydale in too :)

Mustard chicken and a big salad that I'm still picking at now. That olive/thyme/chilli mix thing they do at Tesco's right now is a beaut.

bacon and gruyere quiche with frozen mixed vegetables, tinned sweetcorn and a mars bar with a cuppa.
Tired and stressed easy dinner.

9 hours? Blimey, I've never got past four. That in a slow cooker, hob or oven? I'm really hungry.

Having steak, garlic shrooms and spinach tonight, maybe 2 or 3 of the boy's chips :hmm:
