What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Got a beef brisket slowly pot roasting in the oven. Roast tatties, parsnips and carrots & steamed broccoli to go with it.

Liked that, especially getting all the work done early so there was plenty of time later to make gravy and Yorkshire puddings. Have now swapped making one large one for individual puddings - twice as good.

Tonight is stir fried vegetables in black bean sauce with noodles.

Last night had hassleback potatoes with tuna and salad. I could only manage half a potato, but they were lovely.

Tonight - easy freezer curry that I cooked a few weeks ago - keema and aloo gobi with a couple of chapatis :)

Bless. I always have fishfingers and oven chips in the house for emergency teas.
I now have emergency fish fingers in our freezer :)

Booze. And saying 'fuck' a lot. That's what I'm having for tea tonight.

Fuck.
What happened? :(

Last night I had broccoli quiche with jersey royal spuds and english asparagus

tonight I'm being cooked for by my friend. so something yummy I hope!

Lasagne - made with turkey mince and a bit of bacon for flavour.
It's already assembled and in the fridge so it just needs a bit of time in the oven to finish off.

Veggie spag bol is brewing away with my new fave food the button mushroom. I will also have garlic bread. Roll on 7.30pm.

If the boy doesn't take up cooking (read: heating up) duties tonight, i think I'll have the leftovers of my lunch :D

They sound good Biddly. I've never tried them, are they very fatty and rich or do they dry out a bit in the cooking?
weren't very fatty, although I put olive oil on which I don't for normal baking potatoes. Followed the recipe on mrsfran's blog and they worked a treat. Ready in 45mins and not dry at all :)

Oh nothing bad. I just got drunk and said fuck a lot. :)
:D

Biddly: my mum used to do roasts as hassle backs, were yours the size of baked potatoes? Never thought of doing big uns like that.

My boy is in Naples so I'm eating things he doesn't like (prawn laksa) while he has risotto and swordfish!

i'm making macaroni cheese on wednesday and i want it to be the best macaroni cheese ever - any tips?

Keep it simple, al dente macaroni, nice thick white sauce, lots of cheese. Mustard in the cheese sauce, worcester sauce if you like. Cook it for about half an hour until the top is golden and crispy. You can't go wrong.
