What's for tea tonight? (#8)

At one point I was seriously thinking I was going to have to rip the kitchen out and start again. I may well as a minimum have to have the wall tiled. And all for one poxy leaking bayonet joint which isn't even part of the cooker at all.
:(:( Why do such simple jobs always turn into behemoths of doom??

Salsa prezzemolo should be the new kachumber by the way. It's so good and zings up any plain food, hot or cold. There are versions involving hard boiled egg and traditionally it contains anchovies, but at its simplest it's just a ton of parsley, some garlic, lemon juice, olive oil and salt whizzed up together. It's pure zing.

Both of those sound delicious. .
I made the Greek salad in the end PippinTook . Fuck ME - so so good. I always forget quite how gorgeous it is, until the first mouthful again next summer  I always put some oregano and parsley in the olive oil/balsamic dressing too. Gonna have to make it again very soon!

Omg :) :)

It's baked potato with cheese and beans
:D:D

Anyway, going swimming tonight, but in breaking news - NO TAKEAWAY! It's just too hot :D

Will have caramelised onion and cheddar quiche, flat garlic bread, couple of mushroom arancini, red-pepper stuffed green olives, baby plum toms and a leaf salad.

Last of the strawberries and double cream. Might lob some blueberries in there too.

I fucking love it when you finally have a stretch of weather that suddenly convinces you that yes, it IS summer/autumn/winter, and THIS is the most perfect food for it

Oh Not Like!! Booo. There was some git on the train the other night sneezing out everywhere and snotting. Hope it's short-lived May x
