What's for tea tonight? (#8)

That looks lush. Tell us about the things :)

Bulgar with sun-dried tomatoes, red peppers and chillis

Jersey Royals with garlic and turmeric

Roast Beetroot, garlic and Onions

Kale with the beetroot stems and cashew nuts

A weird dress I made when I realised we were out of tahini, so used peanut butter along with other things

Some purple sour kraut that's not in photo

*claps* Bless you.

It's his turn (I've got class). I'm not sure what he's got planned but we've got a leek, a red pepper and some mushrooms that need using. I might suggest a ratatouille :)

I have got puy lentils bubbling along with garlic, sage, rosemary and a bay leaf. I am going to chuck in some chicken and Herby sausages to braise in that.
When it's cooked, I will let it go cold, slice thesausages and chiken put them back in, then mix in some raw onion, tomatoes and cucumber. Slosh in some hummus and lemon juice then scoff.
I often make this, it's really tasty and seems pretty healthy to me.

Bulgar wheat with spinach, broad beans, chilli, oregano and olive oil. Discovered that I've got about a kilo of bulgar wheat in stock which has a best before date of May, so need to plough through it.

We look forward to all the creative ways you come up to cook it.

I liked last nights where I fried off onion, red peppers and chilli and the added the water, Bulgar, veg stock cube, tomatoe paste and sun-dried tomatoes.

Often do it where I stir fry veg, with spices, then dump the precooked Bulgar in add Soy Sauce.

Suprised it's not more popular tbh, it's easily as good as rice.

I add bulgar wheat to chilli and stews instead of having rice separately, saves on the washing up and it's quicker. The fine bulgar also seems to make th sauce thicker.

I got some a supermarket a while back that was super fine. Was like eating that bloody quinoa stuff. Guess there must be dirt grades of the stuff, but that was definitely only fit for thickening.

I got the fine stuff by accident. It's bullshit in a salad :/ And other grains are needed also if you are putting it in chilli. I will be more careful next time.

A fancy Charlie Bigham's spinach cannelloni, which was BLEUGGHHHH! cos it had mint in it. :(
Chips
Salad

Just a quick veggie (sweet red peppers, brown mushroom, last of the leek, courgette and all the other usual bits) stirfry with noodles tonight.

I bought a new mortar and pestle at the weekend so I'm going to enjoy grinding up my coriander seeds (from the Greebo spices, thanks ViolentPanda) rather than smashing them to shit with a hammer - which is actually quite fun.

It'll be steak, rooster spuds, fried onions and carrot batons. Cooked by moi for me and my Dad. Dessert is cherries and cream (plain yoghurt for me).
