What's for tea tonight? (#8)

It's his turn cos I've got class. So I've politely requested black bean and mixed pepper chilli cos we've got a load of peppers to use up. I've also asked for baked sweet potato to go with it. I've also asked for him to put some of the multi coloured quinoa and bulgar wheat in it. It would be vegan if we weren't having cheese on it. But fuck yeah cheese.

Peanuty tarka dahl, beetroot curry (with nasturtium flowers for added ponce), kale mallung, cucumber raita and flatbreads.

Stuffed!

Basically I had a quorn sandwich and an apple... Today was a bit of an experiment menu-wise. It's been dawning on me that I get hungry about every 3 hours at the moment. Like properly hungry. Because I'm not really set up for this it tends to mean I end up eating whatever sugary crap is lying around. Then there's the problem that I'm practically never home at dinner time. I end up spending a lot of money on food while I'm out.

So instead of having my breakfast (overnight oats with fruit) I had toast and took the oats to work, along with my lunch (quorn sandwich and lots of lettuce). I had the oats mid-morning and for lunch, the lettuce mid-afternoon (at which point a random person gave me a home made pakora) and the sandwich at dinner time at the pool, then an apple on the way home.

It worked in that I didn't buy anything and felt properly fed, although it did feel quite small as a dinner. I might persevere with this strategy and see how it goes... Having to make and carry around two meals is a bit of PITA really so I may have to be creative.

I dunno what we are having. I want a take away but restaurant food is often disappointing here :/ We've got some mushrooms and still some peppers to use up so maybe another stir fry. The one on Wednesday was pretty nice.

I did baked salmon in parsley sauce, new potatoes in butter, wholegrain mustard and chives, with steamed broccoli and sugar snap peas.

Did extra potatoes and veg to go with my sirloin steak Saturday night when Mrs R is out raving. Easy dinner, tiddler to bed, then watching Glastonbury on telly and some Hygge raving: in praise of the big night in

Tonight will be a massive curry delivery after the gym \o/

A late lunch/early tea consisted of a tuna and cucumber plastic sandwich. Bought bananas so one or 2 of those for puddo later.
