What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Does your chippy do vegan sausages? I can just about squeeze a potato fritter out of ours as a veggie option :(
Sorry, I should have put a comma in, to make more sense. We got chips from the chippy to go with some Dee's vegan sausages we were cooking at home. There is a chippy round here that does veggie sausages, but then they ruin it by not doing veggie gravy.

Bummer. A vegan sausage in batter would make our chippy a lot more money out of us than it currently does.

Then again I think they sell Peter's sausages so its unlikely there's any meat in 'em anyway

Have you had raclette?! I think you'd love it. It's basically that but with melted cheese. You can have other veggies, garlic butter, grilled meats as well!

My daughter goes skiing with her mate every year and comes back with great tales about the speed she got to this year (my friend's BIL videos them with some fancy speed recording camera), whether they passed their ski test and what they had with their raclette :D
I KNOW I would love it but without meaning to sound like a wanker :p when I was little, we only ever had that dinner when Jersey Royals were in season and it was ALL about the taste of the potatoes 'Oh, they're so sweet!' even if *I* was just using it as an excuse to eat shitloads of cheese. ;) :D

Out a-fucking-gain (tai chi). Had a roti with spinach, chickpeas and potato. It was quite nice but I'm fed up of this now.
Too bloody sociable, lady! *grumble*

We had paprika and thyme baked chicken breast - with roasties and crackling from work - a sauce from the chicken pan and petit pois.

Well, it was supposed to be a tart, with pancetta, brie, red onions and thyme. Except I forgot the thyme and I made the mistake of loading the tart when it was on a wooden board. I couldn't lift the tart off the board without breaking the pastry, so I had to roll it up, so now I have a savoury swiss roll instead of a tart cooking in the oven. I'm worried the pancetta won't cook inside the roll though.

I know what you mean about the jersey royals tbf

Wholewheat fusilli with spicy turkey bolognese again. Lettuce on the side but no cucumber coz the fucking fridge froze it and it went all squelchy after defrosting

I've never understood them personally, they don't seem that great to me.

:D There's always one!

I love em - such a great flavour!

Fast day today. I'm about to make a courgette and yellow pepper soup and I'll add bacon to it before we have it. Kids will have toast, too. Magic ice cream for pudding - I think it's gotta be a banana and tropical fruit day, with all this lovely sunshine
