What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Filet steak with buttery mash and soffrito. I took the steak out of fridge to rest around half an hour before cooking, then lightly seasoned with garlic granules, black pepper and sea salt. Cooked medium on a hot pan, braised with a little butter and thyme before turning the steaks. Put in oven for a few mins. Removed from oven and left to rest for 5 mins (the hard part). It was lush, and the first time I ever done steak in a pan this way, did a lil bit of research from youtubers beforehand innit.

It was pretty good and I like to have it with a big chunk of crushed chilli/ nuts and oil.
Will learn how to make this and share the recipe.

That looks amazing. I look forward to recipe.
