What's for tea tonight? (#8)

It's "S☼I Cooks On Mondays" Monday, so I've got steak marinading in some stuff I randomly flung together - soy sauce, basil, white pepper, garlic, ginger, olive oil, and it'll be served with a spinach, radish, tomato and Wensleydale salad

I have a large amount of spinach and mushrooms and half a head of broccoli to use up tonight. I'm thinking of getting some pastry and making spinach/mushroom/feta pastry things.

Dinner was a tub of Ben and Jerry's peanut butter ice cream last night.:cool:

Mushroom, peppers and broccoli stir fried with some plain rice. I love plain rice.

I love plain rice too - sometimes I'll just cook a big pile of plain basmati and stuff my face and have a carb crash.

I had a wheatberry, beetroot and goats cheese shop-bought salad today, and seeing as it is ridiculously hot, white wine for cooling down purposes.

pork tenderloin from the whoopsies, fried in thick slices with garlic. I'll do a sauce from pan juices, white wine, mushrooms, tarragon (10 p in the whoopsies), plus a dash of cream and serve with new spuds and a carrot and swede mash (the swede was something daft in the whoopsies like 3p but needs using up). There's the dog end of a cabbage that needs finishing off as well so I might do that with butter and caraway to clear the fridge of old veg.

Tried making some egg fried rice the other day and it turned out quite tasty (a previous attempt many years ago turned into a soggy mess, didn't know you had to let the rice go cold!) - so gonna do that again with some added veg and also gonna try cooking some crispy tofu with a dippy sauce.

Waitrose coconut water ice lollies?!
Two of my favourite things rolled into one! Waaant!
