What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Beef and broccoli stir fry with brown rice to make up for the fact that I ate a bowl of gelato the size of my head yesterday.

It's low carb for the forseeable ...
I'm 17 stone and I need to lose at least 3 of those.
42 pounds - shouldn't take more than a year.

Third of a kilo of frozen green beans, can of low calorie veggie soup, tahini ...

Yesterday was the same, plus a can of sardines, but minus the tahini.

If still edible, I will have the rest of the beans with tomorrow lunchtime's can of soup.

Had a (mediocre) burger at a day festival, but the weather was gorgeous which made up for it.
Just ate a ham and cheese sandwich for tea...healthy eating resumes tomorrow.

Saturday I shared a burger and fries with the tiddler in the pub.
Sunday I tried out the electric griddle Mrs R gave me for my birthday instead of doing the bbq. Veg and haloumi kebabs and quorn sausages, then shrimp kebabs and chilli'd up fillets of basa.

Love the griddle, really easy and quick and everything tasted great. I'm going to start using it for fish all summer.

Not sure what we'll have for dins tonight. It was pay day at the end of last week so will pop to the shops on the way home to get a few bits.

I fancy fish of some kind or prawns.

Yesterday was roast chicken, jacket potatoes and leftover veg curry.
A bit of a mash-up but it worked really well.

Leftover chicken tonight. Might do a spicy chicken & rice thing, or perhaps pasta.
I'll put it to the vote later.

ok guys, so i've just picked up some gnocchi, some smoked bacon and some ricotta cheese. so it's gonna be some kinda tomato and bacon based sauce (with a bit 'o piquant), gnocchi stirred through, ricotta crumbled on top

Halloumi and salad.
Provided I can find some halloumi. There was none in Sainsbobs yesterday and non in the Little Waitrose near my office this lunchtime. It's scandalous!

That fish looks well tasty!

(I really should not read this thread when I'm hungry!)

I really don't know what to have tonight. I've lived on burritos, katsu chicken and pistachio nuts for 5 days. I really want a roast with lots of vegetables but it's very warm and I can't even face getting off the sofa, let alone cooking or going out for food.

There is no roast dinner delivery on just eat. [emoji35]

It was. I was feeling lazy and went into Iceland, a foreign country to me but I'd heard their bbq stuff was alright. They had big bags of different fish, three for a tenner, so I got the chilli white fish, tuna steaks and something else I've forgotten, but it'll feed both the fish eating adults in the house for 6 meals altogether

Chilli white fish from Iceland you say.....? Sounds good. I may investigate.
Did you pop 'em on the grill from frozen?

Working late tonight and picked up a microwave lasagne. Didn't check the package in the shop and have discovered its a low fat, gluten free low salt microwave lasagne so I suspect the packaging will taste nicer than the food
Sounds delicious :(
