What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Chicken is being roasted. It came with bbq spices on and some sauce to smear on part way through cooking. I think we'll having it in wraps with a spicy beany salsa.

Haddock in breadcrumbs. Salad for me. Peas, sweetcorn, cucumber, tomato and celery for the small. Tomato sauce on hers, salad cream for me.

I would've said a bit of yoghurt but it's probably too late now...

I took a chicken out of the freezer yesterday but it's way too hot to be stuck in the kitchen :/
Can't use yogurt.
As she hasn't responded, it is obvious that Biddlybee has spontaneously combusted from the amount of chilli sauce she accidentally put in the recipe. :(
I'm alive, it was edible :D

Was really blooy nice actually :)

The remains of last night's disappointing Indian takeaway. It's sad how few really good Indian takeaways there are. I had a serious altercation with the only really good one (IMO) and cannot order from them again so I'm pretty much screwed now for Indian takeaway :(

Got a recipe for that Cheesy? Sounds lovely.

Sure. I fried an onion and a clove of garlic in a little vegetable oil, and mixed with a sachet of tamarind sauce (deSiam), a teaspoon of sugar and of fish sauce, then defrosted some prawns and cooked them and added them to the sauce, along with steamed veg. Served with rice and chopped coriander. There's a similar recipe here

Tonight we're having a seafood stew. I put celery, garlic and onion in the slow cooker with fish stock and a can of tomatoes, one chopped aubergine, a bayleaf, mixed herbs and a little sugar. Will leave that for a few hours and then add prawns and squid rings. To be served with leftover rice and chopped parsley.

Cheers, that looks simple and really good :)

I did end up making chips last night, I'm sure you're all dying to know

I still have a fuckton of chicken left, so tonight will be cold roast chicken, roast veg couscous, and a salad. Himself is off out meeting his son for tea and boozes. There's half a bottle of red left doing nowt... :hmm:

Steak, freekeh, kidney beans, pak choi and whatever other green veg is going spare in the other fridge.
