What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I'm in need of some serious carbohydrates!! Am thinking my own bodyweight in fusilli, smothered in tom and basil sauce, black olives, and a gargantuan amount of cheese on top!! If I can stand to wait, I'll do some veggie meatballs inth'oven too.

Mrs S☼I is out for sushi with a pal - diet suspended until tomorrow - so I'm joining in the festivities with fishcakes, mushy peas and a big bottle of Staropramen. SO MUCH CARBS. MANY FLAVOUR. WOW

was gonna be lamb chops but I took umbrage cos I'm too stomach-fucked to enjoy them today. There was beef over the lamb chops lol. Anyway my will prevailed like the bastard I am and now I'm just having a egg and chips 'which you can fucking cook yourself' and the chops will be marinaded over night so I can enjoy them properly tomorrow. Other house person will be dining at 'spoons with a mate

Chicken, pepper , cabbage and aubergine curry and brown rice, will have a chicken drumstick in a minute, gonna eat 2 oranges first.

We are a house of plague at the moment so we're both having exactly what we want for tea. Chicken meat and chips for the wife, hot and sour soup and a Thai stir fry with tofu and ginger and chilli and sticky rice. I am hoping the chilli and fish sauce and ginger beat the plague into submission.

Venison was reduced at Sainsbury's tonight. I'd never had it before, so I thought I might as well give it a go. Did it pretty rare and dished it up with a tin of butterbeans added to a lot of caramellised onions with added garlic and sage and mushrooms.
Got to say it was very, very lovely indeed.

Real treat tonight, meatballs with a creamy pesto sauce and posh pasta (one filled with ricotta, the other aubergine, i think), slathered with extra mature cheddar. Fresh strawberries and lots of red and pink wine.

Last night was 'Mediterranean pasta' from Birdseye. Pimped up with Tabasco sauce and a leafy salad. They are new in the freezer section and handy as I can leave them in the freezer at work for dinner emergencies.

How passable are they? Saw them the other day and a bit expensive. But i will definitely 'buy to try' like i do with all new crisps/ chocolate/ icecream/ chips/ frozen pizza (well pizza within reason...)

Just had half a plate of marinated overnight lamb chop, broccoli in cheese sauce and fried whole mushrooms. appears to have rendered the meat scorchio. Second visit required.
