What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Yesterday we had prosciutto cappelletti and petit pois in a tomato and fennel sauce and mini rolls for pudding.
Today is either Sainsbo's cauli cheese grills, oven chips and broccoli, or beans on toast, depending on just how much I can't be fucking arsed....dunno about pudding...yoghurts or grapes or something.

Cauli cheese grills, chips and peas.....that's totally normal as would be beans..sausage, mash & broccoli..

((Sheo's children))

I did chicken livers in madras sauce and they're pretty much inedible. Or maybe I'm queasy? Dunno. I can't even look at them  :(
Dinner will probably be lentils/spinach/cauliflower.

I kind of winced when i saw you were making a liver curry. Not cos i am unadventurous, but it seemed like an odd combination and not something I would have in a big sauce, but instead fried on a pan with onions on its own, if you get me. I also find the idea of putting chicken livers into lasagne/ bolognese sauce needless...although I respect people's reasons for adding them, possibly for silkiness...if i want depth of flavour I'll add some veal (Alan Bird, former head chef at the Ivy once told me that is the secret of their stocks) :)

It was an unsuccessful experiment :(

Never had liver curry, but it works incredibly well with spices. Try looking for a Moroccan liver recipe.

I made myself yet another disappointing dinner  Tagliatelle with salmon and sweet corn in green pesto/creme fraiche. Tasted of tedium AND there was loads of it so I'm having it for lunch tomorrow as well.

Chicken veg soup, with a multi seed demi-baguette* that I picked up from the Waitrose TB tonight for 9p.

* basically a baby baguette, not sure why it's got a daft name.

Bengal coconut dhal, pulao rice and mango chutney.

I've made this better other times for some reason. The mango chutney is the best bit.

Sounds delicious!

Stir-fried asparagus, sugarsnap peas, spinnach, spring onions and ginger in soy sauce, fruit-sweetner, lime juice and lime zest with lime and coriander rice and toasted cashew nuts and sesame seeds.
