What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I got upset on my way home from work due to a UKIP voter spouting her views in the salon and then tripping over a bramble and getting thorns in my foot and making me want to cry. I didn't cry but I had to have three fruit and cereal bars, an apple, some bread, a lump of cheese, half a can of tuna, some lidl cheerios straight from the box, a packet of crisps, a walnut whip, a dark chocolate kitkat and a bag of maltesers. I'm not having any tea :(

Quiche of win

I started off well, fruit and cereal bars, apple...
then it went downhill. I'm fine now, just feel a bit sick
I would normally scoff at cheap shit chocolate but I was desperate for it tonight.
The UKIP woman, American, married to a lawyer was really batshit. She more or less said there was no room for compassion in the world today :(

Leek and potato soup out of a carton, and cheese on toast with chutney under the cheese - tomato and chilli chutney on one and mango on the other. The mango is from Ambala in Tooting and has exciting bits of spice in it.

Im sad to hear this. I dont think any fool on the street could curb my appetitie (even if i hurt myself, im very sorry about that by the way :((). Healing vibes for you and chippie for tomorrow!

we had baked (frozen, medium quality, coated) fish with (cheap) white rice and fried onions (in butter, cooked by me and requested by the chef) and boiled brocolli and asparagus. I had harissa mayo and hot chilli sauce with the meal as a whole - it wasnt cooked by me, bar the onions, which were good (i did them very slowly about 20 mins so they were very sweet, any fool could do it with a bit of patience). It was surprisingly not bad, and i think it was overall mismatched and a bit hotchpotch but im not gonna complain as it wasnt my gaf.

There was an unexpected fish van parked outside work this morning, so I've treated me and the mister to some fresh turbot. Living on the edge, given my recent run of disasters and the fact I've never cooked turbot before :D

I shall serve it with new potatoes and asparagus, and some sort of delicious shop-bought pudding.

If I am in I shall make sure I spit in her coffee.
Ahh Shirl - gotta love the classics mate :thumbs:

I'm not sure what I'm gonna have for tea tonight. I meant to take sommat out the freezer but forgot. Now I can't remember what's actually in there. I might just get a cheat curry as it's just me in on me ownio again.

Wiiiiine first though

If you like profiteroles, try the co-op loved by us ones. We had them when we went camping, omg! Loads of chocolate, boozy cream. Amazing. [emoji4]

Anyway, probably spag bol for us tonight although I forgot onion so will need to go back out.

Ooh. I love a fish van. We used to have a regular one and we'd be hanging out the window some nights for him. I've never had turbot either - hope it's lovely.

I'm on me jacks so probably nothing. Maybe vodka.

We have a fish van in the village where I work

Anyway, have decided to have spag bol now, using soya mince and field mushrooms. A nice sit down in the yard first with a large Pinot Grigio though!

Came home with plans to make a spicy coconut chicken noodle soup, but there's no gas :( So I stuck the chicken in the oven and will work out what to do with it later. In the meantime, I made some hummus (do any of you make your own? Any tips? Mine wasn't that great..) and had it with olives, celery and some crackers.

I was also inspired by the sweary edibles of moose and polly 's mum, so I carefully cut out the word TWAT for the top of my venison pie the other week. Just as I was placing the letters on the pie the boy arrived home unexpectedly early, trailing his mate and his mate's mum :eek::eek:.
Leading me to hiss the words 'get the twat off the pie' to the bloke :D

Ace :D :D :D

My son started his gcse's this week and I was all determined for us to have a calm, loving, supportive household for the duration  ...but he's been a fucking cock  ...so that'd gone right out of the window   :D ....but yesterday, I'd resolved (yet AGAIN) to try and smooth over it all and bought both of them some crisps and a chocolate bar....and THEN he came home and told me he'd got an A in his history controlled assessment  so we had a small chinese, too. That boy always pulls something out of the bag when it's needed :D

His (veggie) gf is over tonight and I have bought some gruyere and some fancy ham and some nice white bread, so croque monsieur  for the rest of us and a plain old.....errrrm...fried cheese toastie :hmm: for her. Tomato 'salad' *cough* on the side.
Sharing dark/white choc cheesecakes and blueberry frangipane tarts for pudding.

Starters: a twister for her and crisps for me. Some of my crisps for her too

Main will be egg, chips, beans and possibly ham.
