What stupid shit has Trump done today?

Warning : long FT article! (from 'yesterday')
It's as comprehensive a catalogue of all Trump's fuck-ups over coronavirus as Edward Luce could assemble!
Correction : Google the headline ("Inside Trump's coronavirus meltdown") and click the first FT result, to access the free-to-read version ...... here's the end of it
Just read the article and, well   ... I think that just about sums it up

Fucking Hells Bloody Bells.

Turds of a feather flock together?
Tbf, Musk - like many tech guru plutocrat types - absolutely loathes Trump

...and yet the repubs will vote for Trump in novemeber.

Trump is merely the hairy mole at the top of a larger cancerous growth. The US appears to be so polarised that republican voters will vote for him even if they know it's going to further fuck things up. Their hatred of 'libs' and 'commie' (lol) democrats is so ingrained now that those gaslit halfwits would rather see the place go up in flames than cede any ground in their ongoing culture war.

It doesn't help any that their entire system is so rotten that they are once again being presented with an immiserating 'shit sandwich' choice come November. It's either caligula 2.0 or the 'human face of neoliberalism'. If Trump loses we'll never hear the end of it from him and he will go on to whip up his 'base' into a fenzy of hate and resentment. He will politicise a potentially murderous winter flu season aggravated by covid-19 and blame the numbers of dead on democrats and blue-states. Or, if he wins, further the divide and rule tactics by denying federal aid to 'profligate' blue states.

Members of his own party turning on him is too little, too late. It's going to get very turbulent over there and in the world at large...

Sorry for the bleak tone but I have zero optimism for the future right now =/

Interesting - a hardcore Republican, no less. If that voter base is crumbling...

Steve Schmidt is an establishment Republican who worked on the Bush and McCain campaigns - he was also very strongly against Trump in 2016, when he predicted a landslide win for Hillary Clinton.

Obviously the cretin Trump didn't create that.

I wonder if someone suggested that to him (possible) showed him the fully finished thing (probable) or if he thought it up and told someone to create it for him (impossible)

Either way it's yet another cringe-worthy low for the once-esteemed position of President of the USA.

I see the hashtag #ObamaWasBetterAtEverything is trending

Origin
The below-reproduced image and quote attributed to Donald Trump began appearing in our inbox in mid-October 2015. The format is easily recognizable as one wherein questionable or offensive words are attributed to the individual pictured, and in this case image claims that Donald Trump made the following statement in a 1998 interview with People magazine:

Despite People‘s comprehensive online content archive, we found no interview or profile on Donald Trump in 1998 (or any other time) that quoted his saying anything that even vaguely resembled the words in this meme. Trump appeared somewhat regularly in the magazine’s pages before he came to star on The Apprentice, but the bulk of the magazine’s celebrity-driven coverage of him back then centered on his marriages to, and divorces from, Ivana Trump and Marla Maples.
Trump’s political endeavors (or the absence of them) did rate some space on the magazine’s pages, though. For example, a December 1987 profile titled “Too Darn Rich” chronicled Trump’s later claims that he had been courted by both Democrats and Republicans
