That's OK, thenUS President Donald Trump has insisted he is not a racist after his Twitter attacks on four US congresswomen were widely condemned as racist. Mr Trump had suggested the four women - all US citizens - "can leave" the US. Responding to the criticism, Mr Trump tweeted: "Those Tweets were NOT Racist. I don't have a Racist bone in my body!"
"You're right, Mr. President - you don't have a racist bone in your body. You have a racist mind in your head, and a racist heart in your chest," Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, one of the targeted congresswomen wrote in part on Twitter.
On Monday, the best of the United States of America was on full display.
In a moving press conference in Washington, DC, the four progressive congresswomen now known the world over as “the squad” – Ayanna Pressley, Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashid Tlaib – proclaimed their profound support for each other after enduring blatantly racist abuse by Donald Trump. And they did more. They redoubled their commitments to improving the lives of all the people in this country.
A fair few people on Twitter have been saying this is a yet another distraction ploy because of the Epstein thing, wouldn't be in the least bit surprised. That's not to detract from the fact that it is utterly repellent.
You seriously can't. The beauty of contemporary racism is that it's not racist, because racism is basically a made-up nonsense word.Deeply depressing to see the Trump cultists claim his comments weren't racist. How the hell do you counter that argument

Donald Trump’s administration is reportedly planning to divert more than $40m in humanitarian aid for Central America to support the US-backed opposition in Venezuela.
Citing sources and an internal memorandum, the Los Angeles Times suggested the $41.9m had been destined for Guatemala and Honduras.
The countries are at the center of a migration crisis in which thousands of people have fled poverty, violence and corruption and attempted to cross the southern US border.
The money will instead be used for salaries, airfare, propaganda, technical assistance for elections and “good governance” training for Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido and his faction, the memo reportedly said.
Spokespeople for the State Department, Mr Guaido and Venezuela’s Information Ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Scary.
Acting Defense Secretary Richard Spencer has authorized the additional deployment of 1,100 active-duty troops and 1,000 Texas National Guard soldiers to the U.S.-Mexico border, the Pentagon announced today.
They will join some 2,500 active-duty and 2,000 National Guard troops already there, for a total force of 6,600 on the border mission.
The new active-duty troops will arrive “in the next several weeks” and will provide “aerial surveillance, operational, logistical, and administrative support” to Customs and Border Patrol, Pentagon spokesperson Maj. Chris Mitchell said in a statement.
The increase in active-duty forces is required due to a “shortfall in volunteer National Guard personnel” conducting the same missions, Mitchell said.
The impending mobilization of the additional Texas National Guard troops was already announced late last month by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, and the Department of Homeland Security sent a formal request for the extra Guard troops to the Pentagon earlier this month.
Some 250 of the new Guard troops will assist civilian law enforcement authorities at ports of entry and airports in Texas, Mitchell said, and the other 750 will help Customs and Border Protection staff at two “temporary adult migrant holding facilities” in Texas.
Civilian law enforcement will still supervise the migrants, Mitchell said, with the Guard troops providing “operational, logistical and administrative support” at the holding camps.
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., derailed an attempt by Democrats on Wednesday to fast-track an extension to the compensation fund for victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, citing the national debt.
Paul blocked a push, introduced by Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., to sign off on the bill approved by the House in a 402-12 vote last week.
The bill would ensure the fund can pay benefits for 70 years.
While balking at the bill, Paul pointed to a need to get the $22 trillion national debt under control before adding any additional spending.
They create the debt with tax cuts for the rich then use it as an excuse to destroy social safety nets. Neat trick.
It’s quite something to have managed to type of viewpoint acceptable to so many.
