What stupid shit has Trump done today?

Trump wants other countries to stop unfairly subsidizing farmers. Only when this happens can free trade occur.

I agree - America should drop some of theirs first to show good faith.

Oh wait - farmer subsidizes have just increased!!!

Trump is giving farmers a $6 billion bailout so they can weather his trade war

The U.S. Department of Agriculture said Monday that initial aid in its emergency plan to help farmers impacted by retaliatory tariffs will consist of about $4.7 billion in payments.

The federal government also said it plans to purchase up to $1.2 billion in certain "commodities unfairly targeted by unjustified retaliation."

A third part of the aid will consist of up to $200 million in spending to help develop foreign markets for agricultural products.

sounds a bit like subsidizes - except the third part .

That one sounds like a marketing board to me.

Trump Rejects White House “Intervention” and Goes It Alone

With his closest allies defecting, the president increasingly trusts only his instincts. He “got joy” from stripping former C.I.A. director John Brennan’s security clearance. And after betrayals by Allen Weisselberg and David Pecker, a former White House official says, Trump “spent the weekend calling people and screaming.”...

I used to work with someone who was a Born Again Christian who claimed he could speak in tongues. When asked to prove it he quite happily stood there and made gibberish noises. No-one believed him. No-one. But he was adamant it was God speaking through him.

I mean there we were in an office, wearing suits & ties, had company cars too. And there was this pillock saying he was speaking in tongues.

To this day I still do not understand it.

Can't help but think of this

Trump Accuses Google Of Rigging Search Results To Feature 'Bad' News About Him

President Donald Trump accused Google of rigging its search engine results to feature overwhelmingly negative coverage of him and “others.”

The “Fake New Media,” according to Trump’s early Tuesday Twitter messages, makes up “96 percent” of the news displayed in Google’s search for “Trump News.” He accused the search engine of not including Republican, Conservative and “Fair” media, a practice he dubbed illegal.

He threatened that the situation “will be addressed.”

It's like the Australians who say Aboriginals should "integrate"!

The Navajo reservation is home to the largest coal-fired plant in the western US, but most of the rez doesn't have electricity. When the water and sewer systems were installed for white people, they bypassed the native people. Water has to hauled in by truck. Access to affordable and available phone and internet service is lacking as well. "Integration" goes both ways here.

It looks like Facebook, Twitter, and Google are fake news and the enemies of the people.
Banging on about the press being such is bad enough, but Facebook and the others are the voice of the population, thus attacking them is attacking the voter (and Russian spies working to help Trump).
He's making threats, that making his rant even worse.

One thought - what would the fucker make of this thread? :D

Trump: Facebook, Twitter, Google are 'treading on very, very troubled territory'

Trump: Facebook, Twitter, Google are 'treading on very, very troubled territory and they have to be careful'
  • Trump said in a tweet that Google's search engine had "rigged" news story search results to show mostly "bad" stories about him and other conservatives. He later criticized Facebook and Twitter.
  • He says Google is prioritizing left-leaning outlets and warns that the situation "will be addressed."
  • The president's comments come a week before Google, Facebook and Twitter testify before Congress.
  • Larry Kudlow, Trump's economic advisor, says the White House is "looking into" whether Google suppresses positive articles about the president.

Orangeman warns Christians of ant-fascist violence if Repubs lose the House.
“You’re one election away from losing everything that you’ve got,” Trump told the gathering...comparing the GOP’s Democratic opponents to violent anti-fascist protesters...“They will overturn everything that we’ve done and they’ll do it quickly and violently, and violently. There’s violence. When you look at Antifa and you look at some of these groups — these are violent people,” ...“The level of hatred, the level of anger is unbelievable...“This Nov. 6th election is very much a referendum on not only me, it’s a referendum on your religion, it’s a referendum on free speech and the First Amendment.”

Trump gives fulsome praise to the bloke the GOP have picked to run for Governor of Florida?

Pissbaby's usage of crime in that and all of his other tweets is a dog-whistle for black. By November there is bound to be a GOP candidate who will brazenly say don't vote for this n-word over them.

I posted something a couple months back about Trump's State Department trying to revoke citizenship from people naturalised as US citizens, citing suspicion of fraud in their application process.

Well, they've upped the ante. They're now effectively revoking the citizenship of natural born US citizens, potentially making them stateless.

U.S. is denying passports to Americans along the border, throwing their citizenship into question

His official American birth certificate shows he was delivered by a midwife in Brownsville, at the southern tip of Texas. He spent his life wearing American uniforms: three years as a private in the Army, then as a cadet in the Border Patrol and now as a state prison guard. But when Juan, 40, applied to renew his U.S. passport this year, the government’s response floored him. In a letter, the State Department said it didn’t believe he was an American citizen.

As he would later learn, Juan is one of a growing number of people whose official birth records show they were born in the United States but who are now being denied passports — their citizenship suddenly thrown into question. The Trump administration is accusing hundreds, and possibly thousands, of Hispanics along the border of using fraudulent birth certificates since they were babies, and it is undertaking a widespread crackdown on their citizenship.
In some cases, passport applicants with official U.S. birth certificates are being jailed in immigration detention centers and entered into deportation proceedings. In others, they are stuck in Mexico, their passports suddenly revoked when they tried to reenter the United States.
The government alleges that from the 1950s through the 1990s, some midwives and physicians along the Texas-Mexico border provided U.S. birth certificates to babies who were actually born in Mexico. In a series of federal court cases in the 1990s, several birth attendants admitted to providing fraudulent documents.
The same midwives who provided fraudulent birth certificates also delivered thousands of babies legally in the United States. It has proved nearly impossible to distinguish between legitimate and illegitimate documents, all of them officially issued by the state of Texas decades ago.

A 2009 government settlement in a case litigated by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) seemed like it had mostly put an end to the passport denials. Attorneys reported that the number of denials declined during the rest of the Obama administration, and the government settled promptly when people filed complaints after being denied passports.

But under President Trump, the passport denials and revocations appear to be surging, becoming part of a broader interrogation into the citizenship of people who have lived, voted and worked in the United States for their entire lives.

Antifa is a movement, it isn't an actual organisation so it cannot really be banned.

Well, yes but does Trump understand this? Himself and some of his supporters (one's I've come up against) think it just materialised the other day and is something you sign up to.

The Obama administration did the exact same thing, they only stopped doing it when they got sued by the ACLU. There is a decent piece in WaPo about it.
Yes, that's in the article I posted. But it pretty well stopped in 2009. The Trump administration ramped it back up without regard to the legal precedent.

There were investigations of fraud in naturalisation under Obama, and Bush, and Clinton, etc. But now the scale is rising.

Ditto detentions by ICE of undocumented migrants.

I hope you can see a difference here.

Of course he doesn't. There was a War on Terror, so I'm sure he believes a ban on Antifa is possible.

I can't believe people still think Trump can't "do a thing" because it doesn't make sense. Nothing the fucker does makes sense.
