What stupid shit has Trump done today?

Trump defies Putin with arms to Ukraine

The State Department says the U.S. will provide Ukraine with “enhanced defensive capabilities” to protect itself against Russia-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine. What this means, according to news reports, is that the U.S. is finally prepared to help Ukraine’s military punch back in a murky conflict cooked up by Putin. American weapons going to Ukraine will include Javelin anti-tank missiles and sniper rifles.

What a load of tosh! You're obviously blinkered by your thoughts on class if you think this.

Who else then? Go on.

So, it's not being served under the current admin.

Why? Why did the people vote for billionaire charlatan Trump. Why aren't the grassroots parties in a better place, do you think?

This has been discussed both on this thread and elsewhere. To give you something to start with, the Dems ran a candidate that was as Establishment as fuck, during an election when many people were not feeling very kind or forgiving to the Establishment, for various reasons. So they either voted for the Washington outsider Trump, or they stayed at home.

As for "grassroots parties", do you have any idea of how badly the deck is stacked against those who aren't Republican or Democrat? Surely you've heard of shit like the Electoral Colleges? Which is why I think that political organisations like the Democratic Socialists of America have the right idea. They don't just limit themselves to running for office, but also take part in direct action and union organising.

You should know this shit already, so why are you asking?

He does know, has known for years and either doesn't understand, or does and disagrees/is opposed. The recent slimy, 'nice' approach in asking about this or that aspect of people and orgs who oppose both Trump and elite liberalism is his new and failing way to get people who from past experience don't bother with him so much now to respond. Then he can get back to doing what he does best, creating scenes where he can cry about getting picked by these same 'bullies.'

I know this is off-topic and a derail from the current, pointless bunfight but given many of the posters seem to think this is a thread about Hillary Clinton I thought it interesting to note that Hillary has been named the most admired woman by Americans for the 16th year running. Obama also retains the title as most admired man with Trump second. Bernie Sanders ranks joint 7th.

Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton Retain Most Admired Titles

Funny.

Looked like he was just talking to you about Trump.

'slimy'

I was but Alan likes to bring in cross beef and all sorts of imagined shadowy avenues that I might be pursuing.

Unfortunately, threads like this drive Alans potty because it's not going their way, at all.

I have a pretty fair idea. And I ask because I am not as able as others to keep up with the growth of new movements and directions they would take. Until the Democratic Socialists were mentioned last night, I'd never heard of them. I'm glad I have & I'd like them to succeed.

I have no horse in this race but you do seem to say 'cross beef' and 'Alan' a lot, if you want to talk about stuff, talk about stuff, don't talk about people who don't want to talk about stuff with you.

If the Alan's don't wish to talk about stuff with me, they should just stop replying to posts and launching ad homs and theorising over my posts. The discussion, I welcome but the cross beef is a bit overdone. By the Alans, that is. Everyone else on this thread shows decorum and a willingness to engage on the Trump dilemma, whether there's an agreement on him or not.

Have I mentioned cross beef, yet?

Whatever.

No and neither is it being served well anywhere else.

I'll take your word on that, I don't know the success rates of socialist governments across the globe. But that's the rest of the world.

Trump and Clinton are just two sides of the same coin. As we've seen, there are alternatives emerging.

But socialism isn't a major factor in American culture. How can it be "sold" to those who see it as tantamount to "reds under the bed" and other nonsense?

wtf is an 'Alan' anyway?
Nomadic people of the Caucasus who intermarried with Byzantine royalty.

Post less, read more, waste of skin.
