I think he's got a real problem with anyone who "serves the country" who isn't white. Seriously - the way he treated the Khan family during the campaign, then accusing the widow of Sergeant Johnson of lying, and now this.

To be honest, I've never seen him behave in a vaguely "comfortable" way when engaging with or talking about people of colour, full stop. It's like he's especially self-conscious in that way die hard racists are when in situations when they're trying to pretend they're not. Jeff Sessions is classic for this.
