What are you playing at the moment?

I’ve been playing the last of us PS5 remastered and am really enjoying it

Just finished remastered on the PS4. Having played 2 not so long ago, then played A Thief's End, figured I many as well complete my Naughty Dog retrospective.

Joel is a fucking dick isn't he? Lying, self-interested twat who condemns humanity because of his survivor guilt. Sheesh.

Anyway, once again the quality of the voice acting in all their games is just absolutely top of the line and elevated every one of them. Really don't know what to play next, everything current seems shit.

bought the final fantasy 7 remake second hand for ps5 and no cannot buy the dlc :/

still will keep me busy for abit

Got an Oculus 3 for Xmas "for the kids", pretty impressed tbf. Never really liked the idea of VR but Beat Saber is brilliant and it just all works, which I'm surprised about. Looking forward to getting some time with it once Xmas is done and seeing what it can do.

Just starting Dragon Quest Monsters on the switch, love Dragon Quest, so looking forward to this.

Oh man, you’re in for a treat. I think they’re both the best-written games (for dialogue, plot AND characters) I’ve ever played.
Mind you, it’s a shame you started with the second one.

Yeah, HZD is an absolute beast of a game, shame you didn't play it first but not the end of the world...

I've had a few hours on HZD now and it's great, virtually identical to HFW. HFW is bigger, smoother, slicker with endless inventory and way more side quests - but so much is the same. Best PS4 game which isn't also a PS5 game, that I've encountered so far.

I'm already looking forward to replaying HFW :D

Back to playing Dominions 5 single player in anticipation of the new one. It is the Dwarf Fortress of RTS.

Apparently there will be some well needed rebalancing in Dominions 6, with battlefield wipe spells later in the research trees, more of an emphasis on troops, and a new magic school Glamour.

Have you not got onto the story FFS!!?!
I don't get why everyone goes on about that. It's pretty decent for a video game, but in the grand scheme of things it's a pretty basic Grey Goo story. Maybe just jaded from reading budget SF all my life, but don't rate it better than that. I mean, they clearly thought up the game first and wedged a back story onto it. Well done that it's competent, but I don't give it any awards.

I treated myself to an X-Arcade dual controller and now playing old MAME stuff and Pinball tables. In the normal co-op or pvp world still Borderlands III and Worms Armageddon. The latter is the best game of the last half century imo. If you know what you're doing and how to play online.

Atomic Heart -sort of Bioshock set in a future Soviet Union where robots have taken over . Slightly annoying and irritating main character , some puzzles, crafting and wide range of enemies . Its certainly absorbing but I've found it difficult at times. Gorgeous imaginary world though.

Played an hour of No Man's Sky in VR. Hahaha. Not sure I could do it all day but pretty amazing ngl. Not even got off planet yet.
How is no man's sky? I'd never played a game like subnautica before but I love it so far and this seems kind of similar? I'd probably get bored playing to many games like it but it has made me tempted to play No Man's Sky.

So glad I got out of my Football Manager hole. As much as I love it I just get hooked and can't play anything else. Probably going to wait for a while before getting future editions.

Tbh I haven't played it for ages. I quite liked it when it first came out and I've heard it's improved loads since then. Exploration, getting better shops, building bases. Sounds good but I think others here have played more.

VR wise it's great. You teleport to move, which saves the sick feeling a bit, and it's got nice touches like if you point to your wrist it brings up a little screen that you can interact with to access your inventory and stuff. It's pretty cool.

I'm quite tempted by a second hand 2 to do PC VR with, but there's not loads of titles that sound amazing. This does sound interesting though.

I have it for the PS (and have also played it PSVR, the 1st one, not PSVR2). It's worth playing, particularly if you can pick it up cheap, but probably requires a lot of time to get into. I haven't played it properly in a couple of years. I assume it's changed quite a bit since then.

bought myself COD MW3 the day I got a positive Covid reslult. I managed to complete campaign in a day and ive smashed through the multiplayer ranks 😂

I’ve got LOADS of friends who play though so there’s some longitude in the game lifespan for me

Started something called Generation Zero, an alien invasion survival/fps, it’s kind of Fallout like without being set in the future. Strangely quite compelling to play despite nothing huge having happened in the first couple hours!

So finding myself with nothing to play on Xmas eve, I've suddenly got an infulx of games ive started.

Metroid Dread = good but hard
Gran Turismo 7 = Very pretty and only 30 quid at Argos
Avatar = Really pretty Avatar vs Far cry ( I had no interest in the game before release, now im loving it)
Baldur's Gate 3 = Gorgeous and very moreish

I'm sure there's a couple more but I need to really concentrate on 1 or 2, I just got some games and a couple of bargains in the sale.

Far Cry 6 (Or Modern Day "Assassins Creed" as I like to call it)

Enjoying it so far. The only other Far Cry game I played was the second one, and this is a definite improvement. Can't wait until the end when I'll inevitably have to kill Giancarlo Esposito 😏

GoW Ragnarok. Finally on the ps5 and the new telly. Looks a beast and seems like much of the same as the last game so far  I will liikely spent the next few months saying to myself "quiet head" whilst talking to myself and doing mimir impressions to myself

Also, weirdly, Fortnite
