In my years of making bread in the early hours, I have forgotten pretty well every key ingredient, but often ended up with something vaguely edible while the result was still hot, but today I was finally stumped by having forgotten I had run out of flour - so I have a pan of foaming yeast and sugar.
And to add insult to injury, I had gone to the shops yesterday for peanut butter and Bonne Maman jam.
Oh well, it means I can now legitimately have lunch
(I can't see myself settling for some sort of supermarket bread product)
