As I am still in derby, I'm hoping for more Staffordshire oatcakes.
I think they were bought in derby....they are difficult to get good of anywhere but here and a real treat

They're more like an oat pancake than the Scottish oatcake styleI pasted the wrong second link - that was one of the sites I found. I've never had flaccid oatcakes, so I might order some.

hash tag what do you put on them? My bil is from those parts and sometimes brings some back, but I haven't really enjoyed them with cheese or jam.

The oat pancakes are from north Staffordshire - a local delicacy.I've made oat pancakes They are very nice. I never knew they were a Scottiah thing. The recipe I use was from my granny who came from Tyrone and had close contacts with Scotland in her childhood. I think members of her family used travel over to work for weeks on end to Scotland.
