Portugal v Spain loads of talent in that Spanish team but Morata as key striker doesn’t inspire confidence . Portugal played ugly , Renata Sanchez looked good first half and suns improved the performance second half but they lack pace . Neto and Guedes aren’t fit who when / if they are will inject that . Juries out on both teams imo but Spain’s group is easier .

Move the ball well , quite a bit of pace upfront and defend ok . Difficult to beat but difficult to win with at this level. KO stage maximum imo.

Spain friendly tonight will be played by their Under21s as the first team squad undergoes more covid testing They are also recruiting a group of players on stand by in case there are more positive tests. Lot of players are already on holiday so its who they can get not who they want.
Portugal squad who played Spain in the last friendly game have tested negative but will have to be tested again.

Portugal broadly impressive last night against Israel. Pepe and Diaz good in the central defence , Ronaldo was Ronaldo . Jota and Silva so so ( the latter will improve when Ronaldo retires. Midfield needs two pivots imo as it’s bit one paced and despite Fernandes goal it’s clear he’s not suited to a high tempo game . Hope they do well but there’s some question marks about whether they have the tactics to unlock a game . Think France will win that group leading Portugal and Germany to fight for second .
