Has anybody seen this? Apparently its "the new twin peaks".

Here is some info:

"John from Cincinnati" (2007)

Plot Outline : In Imperial Beach, California, the dysfunctional Yost family intersects with two new arrivals to the community: a dim-but-wealthy surfing enthusiast (Nichols) and man spurned by the Yosts years ago.
Rating : N/A
iMDB Link : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0814164

So, due to all the interest on this thread I'll simply say that judging from the first episode its a bit like the O.C meets Twin Peaks.

I have seen the first 3 episodes and while I'm not sure why, it has been very enjoyable so far.

The kid needs acting lessons quick though.

I'm still waiting for something to beat Six Feet Under.. Weeds was good. Heroes was shit. Skins was wicked.

That's the Filter television review.

Ive watched this too, and I can't decide why I like it either.

But I do.

And yep, the kid that plays Shaun Yost is awful.

But, John keeps saying 'Shaun will be gone soon'...

John says a lot though don't he. :D

Love the characters at the motel. IMHO, they should ditch the surfer family and go with a Crossroads vibe.

Think you might like this though ChrisFilter... whoever you are... as its about surfing and has a distinct whiff of Six Feet Under.
