Last year I watched every episode of the new BB and really enjoyed it. Haven't even tried with this year. Something about the housemates in the reveal didn't do it for me. Tellingly the Daily Mail hasn't covered much of this series on its front pages.

Have you seen season 1?
Season 2 is good and I enjoyed it more because people were generally doing the fair play type thing of their own volition, it was a who can survive longest and complete the final challenge contest.
Season 1 was like Lord of the Flies, it was fucking brutal and there was all sorts of shenanigans that make one wonder about human nature

We started watching it, not initially realising we'd started at season 2. I did a scan of the reviews of season 1 and they all seem to reflect your comments. I think I'll give it a miss.
We were willing team Delta on at the end, but fair play to bravo - that big fella is a machine. He never once complained or slowed down.

I’m on the latest season of BD Sailing Yacht. Looks like half the crew will end up leaving/being fired because they’re shit and keep crying.
One of the stews doesn’t even know what’s in a margarita and the chef fucked off with the guests for the morning instead of making lunch and a birthday cake. Love it.

I just found Alone (the UK version) on C4 streaming service - I think they only made 1 season.
No surprise cos they are all a bit shit at the whole survival thing really. So far I've watched people completely failing to hunt anything at all whatsoever, someone crying cos although they looked it up beforehand they can't remember how to build a shelter, and now someone's got lost in a forest. One of them managed to catch a squirrel to eat. (Oh and I think one of the contestants was forced to withdraw because they chopped their leg a bit with an axe by mistake on day 1 or something).
It's a bit embarrassing really, I mean in a way I'm glad that as a nation we aren't all preppers and survivalists, but on the other hand if there is ever a zombie apocalypse, we'll be fucked. (Or it really will be like Shaun of the Dead and we'll take shelter in the pub and defend ourselves with pool cues).

Is it just me still watching BB? I’ve been constantly changing my mind about Marcello. At times I think he’s quite sweet really and then he’s just an arse again and makes another mean comment.
I feel sad for Ali. I think she messed it up for herself early on because she struggled not to express her views about people and she’s found it hard to recover from those early difficulties. Actually, I think she’s really lovely and kind.
Sometimes those looks she gives seem mean but maybe they’re misinterpreted because she often looks quite awkward which is why she spends so much time vaping or in the bedroom.
I love it and am so happy it’s back!

I don't think I mind Marcello but he could be getting a very kind edit - like didn't dean say he did some homophobic comments?
I can't stand Nathan. I'm unlikely to favour a Tory butler so find him pretty irritating and I feel like BP would have been better without him.

They get better at it in the US one Epona.
I think it's the third season or so when the prize money's a million that it gets really interesting. Won't give too many spoilers but the game gets a lot bigger than a squirrel.
Pleasingly there are a couple of women in later series who fare well working with nature rather than battling it. One woman, in particular, is an expert forager and does well on veggies and the odd fish (iirc).
