Travelling fans advice please - Brighton vs Wigan

Would a lot of Brighton supporters travel to Wigan?

I'm just wondering as I've got a friend traveling from Gatwick same evening to Clapham Junction. There's warnings on National Rail website about queuing at Brighton which makes me think loads may be traveling and filling the trains up, so just wondering if it's easier to get the bus instead?

You'd have to set off mid-afternoon to get there for kickoff, so if your friend is travelling in the evening you should be OK.
