Tory MP Crispin Blunt: 'I out myself as poppers user'

Indeed. So why do you appear to be believing that more prohibition will be any better?

You are correct that prohibition has led us down the rabbit hole of many unsafe RC's. But we are where we are and there is no way further prohibition is going to help. This Bill will lead to more deaths and even more drain on the NHS. And it won't do diddly squat to stop people taking and having access to what will almost certainly be even more dangerous drugs.

Maybe. Remove the current shit batch of RCs that are scrapping the barrel and maybe people will go back to more old fashioned drugs like MDMA. Maybe.

why? I would think that semi-regular use of 2cb and 2ce would be a lot better for people than semi-regular use of MDMA

I'm to far removed to know, so I'll take you word for it.

It just strikes me that some of the current batch people take as they are easily available, rather then it's their drug of choice.

It would be lovely to believe that would happen. But it didn't happen in 2011 with the removal of mephedrone. Because we have a, literally, crap MDMA market because of the clampdown on precursors making it hard for chemists to synth decent MDMA. There's been a drought for ages.

What's more likely to happen is people seek increasingly shit, cut drugs on the streets, in more dangerous situations.

Legalizing everything is the only answer.

All the people on that forum Johnny Vodka posts on seem to be addicted to them weird RC benzos that are more addictive than normal benzos, seems grim to me

I tend to lean that way, although I'd be curious to see what form that would take. Meph showed me that I certainly can't self regulate with certain drugs and I'm not sure I want to see crack sold in every corner shop.

This one or BL? :D Plenty of people on here have had issues with (traditional) benzos. They can be addictive but they can also be useful if you suffer from anxiety, providing you don't fall back on them all of the time.

After spending a fair while shaking a benzo addiction I tend to think that in the long term they only make it worse. I got a taste from a doctors script.

That was about 4/5 years ago, you're clearly out of the loop. Drought my arse :D

Just because a dealer might claim Dutch Lions at 210mg doesn't mean there isn't a drought. In fact, it's confirmation of it (because who ever needed a decent pill at 210mg?)

I think you'll find I'm nowhere near out of the loop. ;)

BL. I'm not sayin that benzos don't have their place but the people on there don't seem to be having much fun with them and I have met a few people whose lives have obviously been ruined by them permanently.

With regular use they can be evil fuckers that quickly spiral out of control.

There was a slump, (as you say pre-cursor prob), but it didn't last. As for the dealer shit, dealers are always shit.

The argument is pills these days feel different. They definitely have an effect... but it's more of a [word I've been told for using] effect than the rushy way pills used to be. Could be tolerance or could be down to the precursors having changed.

i am posting this under the influence of poppers, just to show poppers is fun for everyone! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

You & planetjelly are on about pills - crystal, different gravy innit.

Is it fair play that the only reason a man would vote against banning something is his own personal use of the drug in question?
typical tory. and it has to be a practical drug, a 'relationship aid', rather than just something that's lots of fun whether you're bumming or rushing

Nah, I find the same with crystal and pills. Ages since I've had anything that made me rush. Could be the pills I had when starting out had other shit in them, but I'd be running on to the dancefloor or in someone's face telling them about the awesome time I was having.

Marlon Brando says a pack of butter is just as valuable a relationship aid.

Fucking exactly.

I personally find these types worse than their equivalents who are not 'social liberals'.
