Things to look out for in Lidl and Aldi

I found Dominosteine in Lidl today - I don't recall seeing those for a few years. Also got some more Pflaume in Madeira to replace the ones I ate, oops, likewise Lebkuchen. I managed not to eat the spiced biscuits, though

I have to get some more lebkuchen for N as I gave his box to the vet nurses today when I dropped off the sharps bin and used syringes.

Got a lovely piece of Epoise in Aldi this morning. Stinks to high heaven so not in Mrs SFM’s good books but, having placed it in an old takeaway container, the aroma is muted so peace has been restored.

I've bought a couple of those, one I ate, one in the fridge. I'm only allowed to eat it if I'm alone.
Really good, Camembert on steroids.

Just been to Aldi - Spuds, broccoli, sprouts and carrots all 8p a bag. Lots of wine reduced to under a fiver and decent champagne for about £8. Place is rammed though so glad we got there early.

Good to know vegetables will be eaten this week - a shame it's just once a year...

There will be a lot wasted i bet. Sprouts parsnips stuffed down and behind the sofa. Should keep the pets regular and wild birds always enjoy things that are threw out. Seagulls trying to fly off with a leg of lamb etc.

On the way back home Tesco had 10 days' worth of my magic soup so I didn't have to hike all the way to the Coop ...

Down to the last of my twelve 8p broccolis.
I should have made a third trip but I couldn't face the seasonal crowds.... and as it is going twice may explain me catching the lurgy.
I'm eating two heads a day and don't fancy switching to red cabbage or sprouts which I could at least have had cheap....

I have hopes to one day be self-sufficient in veggies and I will have to get serious to produce 730 heads a year just for me ....
