The Meat-Free Breakfast thread.

They were microwaved from frozen but didn’t quite have long enough under the grill to brown. They were fully cooked though.

That does look really good, I'd fry the sausages to brown them a bit but otherwise that looks like a top-notch breakfast :) Lots of delicious looking mushrooms earns it an extra point as far as I am concerned :D

Does putting garlic, hot paprika and onions in the mushrooms and chipotle paste in the beans redeem me?!

What are the core elements of a veggie breakfast?

I'm thinking veggie sausages, beans, toast, egg (if you're not vegan). Anything else?

Also, Cobbs Cafe in Sydenham - biggest bestest veggie brekky I've ever had! Was a tenner like but we were starvacated and it was massive, so. Fried halloumi, poached eggs with hollandaise sauce, wilted spinach, hash browns, best veggie saussie I've tasted, fried tomatoes, big hunks of wholegrain home-baked bread, home-made spicy ketchup, and beans. Nom!

I went there today on your recommendation and was not disappointed!

Toast was slightly underdone, but it was really good apart from that. The Spinach looks raw but was cooked and tasty, loads of halloumi, but the best thing was the beans; normal beans and butterbeans in a homemade spicy sauce.

So you're marking the whole breakfast on one component?
It's the only component worth mentioning. The tomato looks like someone passed a flamethrower over it for 1.8 seconds. The mushrooms are shriveled and dry. The tatty scones and fried bread look deep-fried. The beans, are in a ramekin, and there's a shitcake.
The egg would have scored a 2/10, if it was alone, but the rest of the plate sullied it.
