The Vernon Arms in Nottingham, which has looked like a failing pub for a long time, has been sold to Sainbury's, who are turning it into a supermarket.

Many pubs in the area have closed in recent years. It's quite sad. Saddest of all, one pub (on the corner of Gregory Boulevard and Alfreton Road) was turned into a mosque.
Well being turned into religious community centres is the next best bet after a Tesco/Sainsbury's
