Yeah I probably wouldnt be so confident with Mungo if he hadn’t grown up around here, going from apparently well-trained pup to deaf adolescent to moderately compliant adult and now just mid-life ‘I rarely get excited, and I’m a runner not a fighter, so I’ll be back drectly’I don't let him out in the dark unless he's on the lead - he'd be off into the next field(s) for an hour barking at the goats.
When I got him as a pup I read so many books and sites (lurchers, rather than spaniels) where the advice was do all your training in their working place/ zone, connect with them at their most switched on turned on. Obviously this hasn’t worked 100% for me or I wouldn’t have just been walking down the lane with a head torch onI don't let him out in the dark unless he's on the lead - he'd be off into the next field(s) for an hour barking at the goats.
A teeny tiny OAP visitor for the afternoon. Ringo the super mellow thoughtful terrier
Fantastic pics. In the first batch where she's standing on the harbour wall looking back at you, it's as if she going "Well come on, slow coach."
Mungo used to dig frantically at the base of the tree they’d gone up, until he realised they ran up themFinally cottoning on to the fact the squirrels don't just disappear when you chase them. He usually just sniffs around the bottom of the trees looking confused.

I keep saying I should buy him a hi vis jacket as he's camouflaged in the sand.Cute. And blends in well.

Lovely photoStretching his legs this morning on holidays. Though couldn't go on the beach as there were too many steep stairs for his clumsy legs
