ice-is-forming
With dignified ease and grace..
First time since 1983 that I haven't had a dog in my home
I'm not liking it one bit.

I hear you ice-is-forming, there is no-one to throw a bacon rind down to, or step over to get to the fire. You are used to seeing the side of their tail as they walk past, the shape of them sleeping in the corner, opening the door to let them out or call them in. And they’re not there. They are the rhythm of your day and an integral part of the fabric of your life; they are both family and friend; you notice the weather change and the seasons pass all the more acutely because you experience Outside with and through them.First time since 1983 that I haven't had a dog in my home

Well I've sort of come to a decision about a dog, Ive just got to discuss it with my son who i share a home with.
My eldest ( with the puppies and the 3 retrievers) has another senior dog, who would probably quite like to come and live with me. She's never lived in a house before, she'd love it at her age ( 9 iirc) plus shes a very good guard dog. Ive always been one of her favourite people.
So we shall see, if son 2 is up for it, we'll call it a trial to begin with.View attachment 378499
