God this endless round of reunions is getting depressing isn't it? It just nails home the fairly obvious point that our contemporary stadium-fillers are mostly as dull as ditchwater, and that our kids are never going to be jealous when they find out we got see Snow Patrol play live.

Interesting couple of replies to that article which might shed a little more light on what actually happened in Amsterdam;
this article is a load of shit! typical bad music press twisting stories to make their "article" (which is really nothing more than a 16 year olds blog) more interesting! 1. when ian brown called reni a cunt it was tongue in cheek i.e a joke! 2. reni never stormed off stage he simply stood up, hugged john and walked off stage with the rest of the band but didn't return for the encore (which the roses never done throughout their entire career in the late 80s and early 90s. so this just goes to show how little you know about the band and their music, it also goes to show you don't do much research into your story before you go spilling shit over the internet.
You wrote the other day that Reni walked off mid-show and they had to cut the set short... That is UNTRUE! They completed the set (the longest so far!) and did not come back for the encore. It was NOT a chaotic show. The show was great until the end, when there was some disagreement between Ian and Reni about the encore and Ian went back on stage to talk to the crowd. There was no drama and never any hint that the band would stop touring. Sensationalism at its best. And the fact that the you think they played "obscure tracks" (?) shows how little you know!

Nah, sorry, it was a bit out of order saying all the bands you were in were shite, but a couple of months ago at the dentist, the assistant (who couldn't have been more than about 19) was buzzing here tits off coz she was seeing the stone roses at heaton park, they did some good songs and they did som bob songs, but if people are still interested in seeing them 20 odd years later, why rain on their parade?
