They are so fucking tedious.
I've never understood why people feel the need to post on threads they find fucking tedious.
They are so fucking tedious.
Why are you fretting over this minor point like it was something important? It really doesn't matter. If you don't like driving on roads with bikes, stick to motorways and dual carriageways.
I've never understood why people feel the need to post on threads I find tedious either.I've never understood why people feel the need to post on threads they find fucking tedious.
Explain how 3 differs from 2.Oh, I've never taken issue with you on two abreast (although there are exceptions like on B roads with no centre line). My issue with you last night was on 3 or more, which is absolutely not on, according to the HC (despite it not being illegal).
The whole anti cycling "petrol head" thing seems so mean spirited. So tied up with selfishness and the culture of right wing trolling. Humans trying to get from a to b either for fun or function - why would people make so much effort to attack that? It's depressing. And the fixation with the negativity is even more depressing.Because that's what we do here.
Please feel free to post on other threads.
2 isn't specifically advised against by the Highway Code.Explain how 3 differs from 2.

at what speed though? if your bobbing along at 15mph to have that all important chat on a 30mph its not safer - its road rage inducing
if you are keeping up with the speed limit or near enough then 100%
Straight out of the right wing troll playbook.
Nah. It's done with tongues in cheek for the most part in the fine old Urban tradition of internet combat. That's not to say that most cyclists aren't massive bellends.Spot on.

I wrote it.Straight out of the right wing troll playbook.
You’re gonna be fucking amazed when you see the size of the tailbacks cars can create all on their own.I’ve been stuck behind two a breast cyclists in a quarter mile tail back before.
The only problem being that the attitudes chucked around on here have fatal real world consequences.Nah. It's done with tongues in cheek for the most part
because...The only problem being that the attitudes chucked around on here have fatal real world consequences.
Motorists tend to want to get from a to b as quickly as possible. Cyclists tend to want to get there alive. The latter should carry rather more priority than the former.
Absolutely. Pedestrians > cyclists > cars.No problems with it in the road, would appreciate at least an occasional group of them getting into single file when I'm walking the forest paths though.
You may find it fun, but it’s very wearingNah. It's done with tongues in cheek for the most part in the fine old Urban tradition of internet combat. That's not to say that most cyclists aren't massive bellends.
Most seemingly care very much for their own safety and very little for other road users.are you saying motorists don't care if they live or die? if they desire, as you say, to get from a to b as quickly as possible then surely they will take care on the roads, as god only knows how long they'd be delayed and inconvenienced by striking a cyclist and so having to wait about for the police etc, let alone the future hassle of going to court
I had to kick a dog onceYeah, but dog walkers with massive long leads or poorly controlled dogs can fuck right off on shared paths. ‘He doesn’t like bikes, sorry’ is a bit of a shit excuse, especially when the cycle path parallels a massive fuck off public park with loads of paths.
I don't think so. Most of what gets posted on here never sees the light of day in real life. I can honestly say that I don't really condone caltropping cyclists, applying their front brakes, shoving them into canals, or even nailing their penises to their saddles. The more sober stuff can often be entertaining and even occasionally informative. The only problem being that the attitudes chucked around on here have fatal real world consequences.
"Ignore thread".You may find it fun, but it’s very wearing
pedestrians have right of way on shared paths imoYeah, but dog walkers with massive long leads or poorly controlled dogs can fuck right off on shared paths. ‘He doesn’t like bikes, sorry’ is a bit of a shit excuse, especially when the cycle path parallels a massive fuck off public park with loads of paths.

Slow down when you're around pedestrians & dogs then.Dogs do love running towards a moving bike, the owners usually fucking oblivious or has them on those massive leads.
Lost a few Strava medals thanks to that.
Treat other road/path/track users with courtesy and consideration. If everyone did that, all would be well.pedestrians have right of way on shared paths imo
most of my biking is on shared paths and if there are people walking you should slow right down if not stop, especially so with dogs...its really stressful to walk on a path and have bikes bombing past you
