Have to say, for what looks like roughly the same tonnage, a Dunkerque is a lot less capable than a SoDak or a Nelson. I know Dunk was built for speed over other concerns, but still.

Whereas I’m sure they would have had a significantly higher crash rate than nowadays, it is still astonishing in my mind that the likes of Japan and the USA managed to operate an aircraft carrier fleet in WWII so well that was a vital asset to them in the Pacific theatre. Imagine having to land on rocking runways even smaller than today’s carriers, and without the benefit of any modern aviation technology aid.
 
I don't really play World of Warships much any more, but I do occasionally fire it up just to look at the ship models. They're gorgeous.
 
That's a few obvious ones, but the real dividing question in 20th century battleships is:
HMS Nelson/Rodney - uniquely beautiful, or just plain ugly?

The “Oldenburg” was built at the Rolandwerft GmbH shipyard in Bremen and launched 65 years ago on 29th March 1958 and, for the past 37 years (since 10th May 1986) has faithfully served the island of Lundy.
