Self-indulgent pet thread

Love the chicken with the baggy trousers (sudden Madness flashback there!)

Here's a few highlights of Mal's birthday party. He's been flinging his cake around the cage ever since.

They are amazing!! :D

Aw, thanks for the comments about the pigs and the party. I think Herbie cat was just disappointed it wasn't a "fish cake." I think Mal's party last year was even more wild (and Herbie still kept his distance - he's not a "joiner" you see! :)

Jaysus, sorry for all the spamming. Okay, I'm absolutely stark raving, it's true . . .

:meep: :meep: bring on the birthday pictures - last years party looks a riot and Mal obviously liked his grape and grass cake.

My favourite pic is where mal is peeking over his pirate cake and griff looks like he's sulking :D.

Ah wow!

I've seen the guinea pig costume's website. Often thought the dragon costume in red might suit Griff (full and proper name - Gruffydd ap Mochyn - he's a proper Newport lad from the Gaer you knows!)

Tried putting Malcolm in a kilt once. Basically, it didn't work. Kilt now worn by a small Allosaur on the bookshelf.

Oh, SO wanna border collie. Lovely shot this one.

They're incredibly intelligent, far more so than other dogs. I still get surprised by just how clever they are - which in turn means they need a lot more attention and walks. They're not a dog for the house or the city or if you're inclined to just walk the dog around the park everyday. You have to change their routine, walks and what you do with them to stop them getting bored and unhappy. Aside from that and the stamina of a shire horse, they make great pets... they're just a bit TOO clever :hmm:

If you like Border Collies, then you'd absolutely LOVE keeping a trio of Springer Spaniels...

Tee Hee Hee...

Well, he was rather taken with the new guest (but probably couldn't work out why he wasn't eating!)

:D heh
seen them when doing research before

Out of interest were you specifically researching guinea pig costumes or did you stumble across them by accident?

(no way! I just looked it up and there are several places specialising in this niche of costume. There's also a site called Guinea Pig Today - Clearly I've been missing out)
