Self-indulgent pet thread

She used to have them but had 'em amputated. Skin cancer - a real problem with the ears and noses of white cats.

:(

I was advised by the vet to put sub-block on the ears of the kittehs I used to live with (both had white ears).

This was not a success.

I don't think I still have scars, though...

"I don't know where you're sleeping tonight, human. This is mine now."

Tiny poo in a tree! Her name has gradually morphed away from Isis, I dont really think I can just call her Poo though :D she loves climbing up stuff and will sometimes yowl at me because she wants to get somewhere higher up but cant. She was yowling because she couldnt get out of the tree with ease too

Her nose is fine btw. Lose that and she'd look like Voldemort.

I guessed when I saw the photo that it was the reason I could see no ears - cats with white ears can have serious problems with sunburn and skin cancer :( Even if I had a garden, Radar would need to have his extremities smothered in factor 50 before he set foot outside.

She looks gorgeous though, give her a kiss from me if she likes that sort of fuss, otherwise blow her a kiss from me from across the room :)

Oh she does like it! I am having problems typing as she's headbutting my hands - I am failing in my human cat worshipping duties and not making a fuss of her.

Is that Shroedinger? He still looks really kittenish :)
He's still only 3.3kg. He went to get vaccinated last week and the vet agrees that hes a good size, not malnourished or under-weight, he just happens to be really small. I dont really notice until I see him with the local cats and he is completely dwarfed.

Ah bless. That's a smashing photo btw.

Unfortunately these aren't my pets, but some gorgeous birds at the Scottish Owl Centre earlier this week.

Great Horned Owl (very common where I come from - make a creepy noise at night.)

And now for a few snaps of Breeze. Have had a few visitors, which she loved, and seems to have become more vocal afterwards. Thing is, she doesn't meow - sounds like a cross between a 1970's trimphone and one of those joke hand buzzers. I've tried to converse with her, but she just gives me a withering look because I sound so pathetic. :)
